‘Don’t interrupt me’: Labor MP clashes with Liberal Senator over energy rebate

Labor MP Andrew Charlton has clashed with Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes over the $300 energy rebate revealed in the federal budget on Tuesday.
Senator Hughes claimed there have been “no details” about who the energy rebate would be delivered to and how it would be delivered.
Mr Charlton said maybe the senator “was not listening” on budget night when the Treasurer said it would go to everyone as an automatic rebate.
“You asked two questions, the government has been incredibly clear on the answers to both of those questions,” he said.
“If those are your two main questions coming out of the budget, you need to read the budget papers more clearly.”

Don’t be fooled. The surplus is tiny and it was only possible due to out of control immigration which has caused a per capita recession, for four consecutive quarters. Which means while the country and the labor party is richer, each Australian is poorer. A somewhat larger pie with significantly more people means each persons slice of the pie (GDP) is smaller. Of course labor considers that a win. Because it’s a win for them at our expense.

In my opinion, electric bills reliefs package should stay in every state government budgets. If Federal government gives all the houses that’s including foreign ownership empties investments house around states, high incomes households families and billionaires millionaires investment properties seems unfair though. Why don’t current government put those energy relief packages into low - medium incomes taxpayers, small-medium businesses into their bank accounts through Australia Service. They have all those people data information of their income who is really needs and struggles. 😌
