The look on all their faces when he gives the young lady flowers and a ride to her destination was absolutely priceless. I let a woman use my phone to make a call. She called her brother to come get her because a date had beat her up. I then waited right there with her until her brother showed up. I opened her door and let her in the car and told her brother to take her to your home and don't let her be alone. I saw her again about a week age and she gave a warm hug for helping her.

Yeah. This is what I was thinking too. To be very honest, I would be one of those people who would say no, and I won't think I did a bad thing. If someone who asks that really looks like they have no bad intention, I would still not let them hold my phone. However, I might consider offering to dial and talk to whoever it is they want to call. Basically, I'll be holding my phone the whole time.

If I give someone my unlocked phone to make a call and they take off with it, not only do they have a $1200 phone which insurance won't cover but they have access to my accounts. They would have access to my Google map history. They would have access to all my personal photos. Yeah, it's not just a phone.

I've been on both ends of this. I've had to borrow strangers' phones at the bus stop to call my mom. I've had to lend my phone out to strangers at the bus stop to call their families. One time, I got a call back from a woman (she didn't answer the initial call), so I let her know her aunt had been at a specific bus stop at a specific time. She had mentioned needing four or five buses. Her niece was extremely grateful for the update. Always help out, when you can.
