As someone that bought Escape from Tarkov and has never been able to bring myself to actually play the game ( mostly because of gear fear.. and not knowing where to extract) im in love with this game!! It scratches that tarkov itch for me and is way more approachable. Great video. Cant wait to see what else this game has to offer. ( im still in the first area)

That's the exact reason why I love this game. It's a much friendlier version of tarkov but it still retains that "hardcore tarkov" feeling. Good luck in your raids :)

Good guide. I just bought the game off the Steam sale. I'm on rookie mode and wow, I'm getting shredded. Some of you guys make it look so easy. Having a lot of fun though, need to quit being so greedy sometimes.

Don't sweat it too much. We've all started at that point, but it only goes up from there. As you progress you'll see that your armor and bullets make a huge difference (of course) so try and get those armor upgrades ASAP; even if it's just nabbing a class 4 from one of your enemies to take back and repair. And if it helps, I put out a tips and tricks video that might help you get a bit of an edge. It may make things a bit easier for you, especially once you understand how the enemy AI generally behaves.

This is an excellent guide. I'm new to the game as of 1.0 but have played some Tarkov in the past. I hope the algorithm picks this up for you as it really is well written and thought out, and goes into just the right amount of depth.

Thank you, I'm glad you found the guide so helpful :) As a tarkov player I'm sure you'll love the game as there's a lot of references (at least boss and map wise) to tarkov

Great guide even cleared up some confusion on my end with some of the game aspects. I just want to say that I say you pick up the roubles, and you generally shouldn't do that just because unless you have the money ratio cranked up to 100%, they are not a 1:1 ratio for Money and will not benefit you much. The roubles also have a max stack size of 999, which makes for a stack of roubles worth less than most attachments, Good or not. (Also. Just advice for new players really veteran or long time players more than likely already know this.
@yewnitedgaming9 күн бұрын
I could have sworn one of the recent patches changed it so that roubles were worth 1:1 money ratio. I could be mistaken though. It's still light "filler loot" as I call it but definitely would be getting dropped for something more valuable.

I think rifle preset is just objectively best choice, because it's the most versatile, and also because main questline will give you guaranteed Mosin sniper pretty early, and if i remember another one will give you an attachment of your choice, which you of course should choose fitting scope for it.
@yewnitedgaming2 ай бұрын
Rifle is definitely a solid choice and would be my second go-to if it wasn't for the fact that getting that early scoped mosin lets you win fights while taking 0 damage without much effort. It really helps with your early economy since you don't need to buy meds or repair your armor. I usually grab the mosin and go right for the first army/crimson squad I see to immediately get mid-game gear. Only downside is if I wanted a rifle, I'd have to either scavenge one that won't be repairable for some time (until I can afford the repair kits) or shell out for a stock rifle from barman. Honestly though you could go either way as you pointed out; start rifle and get a mosin from the early quest reward, or start mosin and get a rifle from the early quest rewards/scavenge one

As you level you'll see those perks (eg. when you hit lv1), I think you unlock different sets of perks at level 5, but can still pick the previous tier perks.

Unfortunately no he won't, but without spoiling too much there *are* incentives to killing him later in the game
