You are truly an inspiration. I haven't seen you in my feed in forever, and was wondering about you. Glad you are fighting your way back. I can say, in true empathy, that I understand. And that whole thing about trying to explain how your legs can be completely numb, and yet they feel like they're on fire, or feel like electricity is shooting up and down them. For me it's funny but awkward when I suddenly scream in pain and then explain to everyone that my butt just cramped up!😂 God bless you lovely lady.

This popped right into my You Tube feed as soon as you posted it so less worry on algorithm front. Total solidarity my fellow Canadian! I too had enormous back pain last summer due to the cancer riddling my lower intestines. All better now from surgery & chemo so sure you will get better too. It's a slow climb back, but as you said family & friends support helps immensely, including us your You Tube friends!!

I've been there too, multiple times with surgeries, a few emergencies, and my family was there for me too so I very much empathize. Get well soon. I have two slipped discs in my lower back in 2008. I was unable to stand straight, or walk straight, the only way I could feel comfortable was by lying sideways on my bed. The back specialists recommended I do surgery to remove the slipped discs but somehow I didn't opt for it. I did some basic and affordable physiotherapy at my local government hospital, the most useful exercise is doing planking to strengthen the muscles around the affected area. I realized what always triggers my back pain is by bending down to pick up stuff or running up the steps, taking two steps or more instead of one. Right now I feel much better but I will occasionally still trigger it if I bend down to pick up heavy stuff. My physio told me, never to bend down to even pick up a piece of paper. Hope you get better, don't worry, plenty of rest and planking will help you a lot. Right now, I am able to participate in soccer and basketball with little discomfort. Take care Laura.

I fear I have slipped or inflammated discs. Have all the symptoms, but as I cannot afford health insurance and make too much for any medical assistance, I haven't gone to a doctor. It's been years but I should. I've been planking and also I've found regular stretching throughout the day helps. I'm afraid to get surgery.

@@Sublimeshredder Yes, there is no 100% cure for slipped discs. The only way is to remove the slipped discs to prevent them from touching your nerves but there are risks to spine surgeries. One of the ways is to strengthen the muscles around the injured areas and to take very good care of your standing, sitting, and lying postures. I have been living with my slipped discs for the past 13 years without major inconveniences, I have learned the way my body triggers relapses and how to recover from them. Hope you get better soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've undergone such physical difficulties, but I am glad you're on the road to recovery, and are back here! Having multiple chronic conditions myself, I certainly know what that is like. It's usually the things like family, pets, and fun stuff like collecting things that gets one through the daily challenges and gives one something to look forward to...so, you've got that in spades, which is excellent!
