Shaykh Muḥammad Hishām said in a video that the Salaf would fear mocking a goat that Allāh will turn them into a goat!!

I heard that there was a muslim (forgot if it was a sahabi or not) who was speaking to a woman when she suddenly passed wind. The man pretended to be partially deaf so that she doesn't get embarrassed and since that day he was nicknamed "(his name) the deaf(in arabic)"

I don't get it, if the other person is laughing (the person who passed wind), why can't you laugh with them to make the situation feel less awkward? If they're laughing themselves to lighten the mood, it appears consentual?

This is very important to cultivate since there are people who have conditions that are considered to be "funny" or "awkward", if you have understood the Shaykhs advice, maybe you will be a person who will be compassionate when these kind of situations arises where you will make people whom you interacted comfortable with you, isn't that the sweetness of having good character?🤍
