Your honesty about damage rates and increases due to labor shortages, insufficient training of new personnel is helpful and sadly rare in commerce today.

I live more than 2000 miles from your company, and with these videos I wish you'd expand this way. Thank you for the empowering education!

Five years ago we ordered all new appliances from Home Depot. All of the appliances were scheduled to be delivered and installed on the same day. On that day not only did they forget the stacking kit for the washer and dryer but the bottom panel on the dryer was dented. They informed me that they were incapable of installing the water hookup for the refrigerator and couldn’t install the dishwasher because it was screwed into the marble countertop not install the microwave oven. I spoke with the department manager and his solution would have involved deliveries and installations over the course of three days and two weeks. I told them to bring everything back to the warehouse, called the salesman and canceled the entire order. I then went to a local appliance store with seventy years of experience and a great reputation in the community. I’ll never buy appliances from a big box store again.

my wife and I got a stackable washer dryer from home depot. They dropped them off and forgot the stacking kit… they hooked up the washing machine and left the dryer in the hallway until they came back the next day with the stacking kit. The next day they showed up 4 hours late and handed me a package with the stacking kit and walked away. I called and said ummm are you guys going to be installing the dryer and stacking it on top of the washer? They said no they only had a order to deliver the stacking kit. Eventually they came back and stacked the dryer like they should have…Except they scratched the entire panel area of the washing matching in the process. After my wife called HD and argued with them for weeks we eventually got refunded the entire price of the dryer for our troubles. Would never order from a big box store again

Suggestion: if the appliance you’re buying has a reversible door, know whether you want it to open left or right, and ask the store if they’ll configure it for you as part of delivery. I’m fairly handy, but reversing the swing direction of our new dryer’s door was not tremendously fun. I wouldn’t want to have to do that for a refrigerator.

One thing I would hate if I was an appliance deliveryman is narrow corridors and especially tight turns.

2:55 Well, uh, yeah. If I want an appliance that doesn’t work, I’m pretty sure any number of firms would be only happy to oblige.

I completely understand charging extra for delivering up stairs, it makes things way harder.

Excellent info as always Steve! Wish you guys were in the Chicagoland area, but we do have ABT who is decent and reputable

Where do you get leak detection paper from?
@YaleAppliance12 жыл бұрын
We actually supply our own leak detection paper but you can always use a regular piece of computer paper to place under the appliance after installation and it will still show you if it is leaking!
