I was thinking about time and how precious every moment should be but most of us tend to take it for granted until something bad happens.
I wrote this song to remind myself and maybe the listener that we never know when our last moment will be........I hope you enjoy this moment :)
I'm playing in an open D tuning and Spike has added 2 droning Dulcimers and the gentle tick tock of time.

"I was thinking about time and how precious every moment should be." It takes a beautiful soul to write beautiful songs like you do. You reminded me of my favorite musical of all time, "RENT" - which I didn't see on stage, but have watched the movie version several times. It contains a memorable song called "No Day But Today" which has the same message as your "Don't Let Time Slip Away." Do you know that song? Here are some of the lyrics: "There's only us, there's only this, forget regret or life is yours to miss. There's only us, there's only here, give in to love or live in fear. Hanorah, I have caught the occasional song posted by yourself and enjoyed them. However today I sat down to listen to the complete listing on KZbin, (I'm still going through them!), and I have to say I am more than a little impressed with the songs and their delivery, be they covers or originals. There are many that appeal to my particular taste, so much so that I decided I'd check out any published items you may have and I have rather disappointedly come up with a blank, I can find nothing. Is it the case that you have not recorded your wonderful gift so that those of us touched by it are able to posess, in a small part, something of it for ourselves. I am all for paying the piper, every artist who gives pleasure to others is deserving of at least a small reward for their efforts. Is there anything available for purchase and if so how does one acquire it?

Hello Kevin, thank you so much for your lovely comments I am very appreciative and really pleased that you found some songs that brought you pleasure. I don't have any songs recorded professionally, I just play by myself then send it out hoping it moves someone or makes them happy. I am quite shy which is why I don't feel it's necessary to film myself, I prefer to be in the shadows. I did send my song "Homeless" to some associations for homeless people and said if they can use it in any way to raise money they were welcome to do so but nothing happened. I have raised some money for guide dogs for the blind but that's it. If you wanted to put the ones you like on a CD I could do that for you and send it to you. Just let me know. My dream would be to write a song that would be used in a film or TV ad or something. Hey we all need dreams :) Have a great day and thanks again. ``
