Another good tip. If you are running out of time on a multiple choice test and have a lot of questions unanswered, just make a guess. You might get lucky and get the correct answer. Also, the answer C is typically the most common answer in most multiple choice tests. Do not leave any questions unanswered, because a guess is better than leaving it blank.

Enjoy your videos. I have a question for you. I took the CWI in 2003 just self studied a friends CWI course and took the exam and passed. I got the CSWIP 3.1 cert and let the CWI expire after 9 years. I was working overseas and thought the AWS was too much money to pay. I am back in the US now and am taking the CWI exam now. It’s been a long time but on the practical part I just remember some fillet welds with perfectly drilled holes all the same size just add them up and pass or fail some bend test . And 1104 was like 78 pages? Now 1104 is bigger and seems as if Practical is different. My question is have they made the exam harder in the last 20 years or is about the same. Hope to hear from you. Good point about the AWS and its strange way of scoring these tests, i also wonder when i get my results, I tested on all 3 parts (92 part A, 90 part C) and I don't understand why the AWS can't just tell me, pass or fail on the part B

I passed part A and C but I did not pass B, but i did average over a 72% for all 3 in total. I am currently taking my 2nd retest this Saturday and just wanted to see if I could see the breakdown of my part B failed retest

I'm sure you have stated this in one of your other vids, but how similar are the practice questions versus the actual exam questions. I take my exam next week and it sometimes feels like all the practice exam questions just repeat themselves.

@@JM-iw2if 84 on part A and C, 70.6 on part B. Retest B in 3 months. One question away, but there are questions on the exam that was not covered at all in the seminar, but a CAWI is still a certification even if temporary.

I took SI Certs cwi. But I still took additional 16 hour in person class with WTTI . I'm taking SI Certs for icc bolting now.
