What settings on your flux core welder were you using to do this? Line speed and amps ect? I have an old hay rake that I need to weld one of these swing back jacks to it and I have one of the titanium welders from HarborFreight but I don’t know what settings approximately I need to be at to do it

As someone born in 1981, I just want to take a moment to thank you for including 1981-85 in the Gen X tribe. Most of the time I feel like we're included as "honorary Gen X members" known as the "Elder Millennials".

If this doesn't work -- I found that I needed to prime the pump BEFORE placing it back on the bottle. Fill a glass with water, put the red end into the water and pump until it sprays water. Fill the pump with water without spraying it out, place it back into the slot on the bottle and it should work.

I was one of the first with an 80V kobalt string trimmer. I hated the spool so much, I modded it and installed a Pro Head that uses two big string lines cut to length. I had it about 14" diameter.. I think it was 0.10? Big stuff. Wow!! This sucker wa digging ditches!! Lasted a few months.. Finally burned the motor out.. it think it overheated, the cooling air flow to the motor may of be limited by grass or dirt? I don't know.. Was overloaded but Took it So Well. I bought another, and BOY DO I DESPISE THESE CRAPPY HEADS!! Trying to keep it stock, but sick of this puny crap line. Anybody else switch to a cut line that's bigger than stock? To HELL WITH THE SPOOL... This Bang it Crap BS Has been going on Way too long.

it has happened to me before, it was the speed sensor, it's quite a cheap part itself and not that hard to replace within 30 minutes at home...but this same message can be thrown for a few different sensors, just thought i'll let anyone else know that it could be one of the speed sensors as well.

Yes, my father served during the Korean War. Basically I raised myself on the streets he was never home except the make sure I was ok and drop of some lunch money. He was too busy chasing woman for me. Yes Gen X are survivors in every way.

The adjustment really should be made on the headlamp housing. That roller switch is to adjust if you are carrying a heavy load in the back and your truck is pointed slightly up.
