For me what mostly matter when you’re learning a new language is the listening, cause even you aren’t able to speak perfectly the person can understand what you wanna say but if you don’t understand the question how you can answer !! Thanks papa , I really love the way you teach English! You’re the best 👊🏻

I think vocabulary is what matters the most when it comes to reaching a high level of English. You can perfectly neglect pronunciation in my opinion, it's the less important aspect of the English language given the fact that there are so many different accents around the world that are considered "native". About grammar, there comes a point where you have pretty much learned it all and you're probably still B2. But vocabulary, meaning idioms, phrasal verbs, slang, prepositions and so on and so forth, you never stop learning them!

On the other hand, given that one speaks hard 'Slavglish', 'Doyglish', 'Indlish', 'Nipponglish' or another way of mispronouncing English with an insufficient number of vowels or sometimes consonants, a lot of words distinguishable under normal conditions either become homonyms or are incomprehensible for other people...
@elgatocapibara5 жыл бұрын
@@heinrich.hitzinger that's true, but I meant that you don't have to have a perfect accent in order to speak fluent English. You can have an accent, as long as people can understand what you say. You don't need to be so hard on you if you don't sound like a native speaker. That was my point.

I won't use _"I don't mind"_ as an answer to my gfs q on whether we should do this, or that, bc to me it feels like I'd be saying _"there's no problem"_ (as you confirmed). Thereby insinuating that 'my gf asking me sth' could possibly *be* a problem - which obviously would be ridiculous bc she can ask me anything, the more the better, I can't get enough of her Up till now I always used _"I don't care"_ , bc although my gf obviously is super important, I most often genuinely have no interest in *the choice* - both options are equally okay with me. But for some unfathomable reason she still finds my _"I don't care"_ rude and inconsiderate and pointed me to your video for explanation Thankfully, you give me a third option that I had never even thought of before. I will use the 'incorrect' _"I don't matter"_ from now on bc, after all, who am I in the presence of my gf?? I'm sure it'll enrage her to no end when I use this!! 🤭 😂

When I started learning english , it was really important for me to learn grammar because it was easy than learning lists of vocab , after that I realize that native speakers have a special things in their pronouncition that make them sound wow! for that I became more interested in pronounciation . However now I am in love with idioms and I can't stop learning them . Here the order that I am following . Well ,I think what matters the most is to learn grammar , pronouciation .... everything that can help you acheiving your goal .

I'm learning english since last year and I really enjoy your videos! I think gramma, pronunciation and intonation are equaly important. What I think it would be a major difference learning a new language and take you into the next level is learn about the culture. I mean, read a book written in the new language, watch a tv show you like (I'm a Doctor Who fan!) or a movie, etc. You can learn a lot doing something you like and that's help you to keep the motivation up. Plus, you will improve your vocabulary a lot!

Pronunciation is what matters the most. Spanish often pronounce the rolling R, the V sound as a B, not stressing the T as brits do, the H sound should be soft instead of strong and of course the ED for past verbs. Great channel!

I think the most important thing at learning diverse languages is being able to make you understand, at least at the beginning and then with time you will speak more as natives do. I've learnt italian applying this because it's easier to learn the pronounce after you've already learnt at least the most basic on vocabulary. Personal opinion. (Native Spanish speaker living in Italy and learning English)

In my opinion, what really matters is the ability to switch from - let's say - a high register to a more idiomatic or slang one, instead of always being "neutral" or standard because you just don't know how to add more colour to what you're saying 😅 and that's actually how I feel about English. I'm pretty confident with my grammar but I always feel boring when I'm talking to someone or writing. This videos of yours are helping me with situation and vocabulary skills

I'm a native English speaker who only speaks one language --- English --- even though I had 4 years of Spanish in high school and a year of French in college. Use it or lose it, I guess. I have nothing but respect and admiration for someone who speaks more than one language, no matter how poorly or haltingly ---- they are way ahead of me that's for sure! My problem is with the non-native English speakers I frequently find myself talking to on the phone who won't slow down even after I ask them to, repeatedly. I simply can't understand their accent, and their English is just gibberish to my ears. If they would only speak slowly so I could have more time to process the way they are speaking, there would be a better chance of actual communication. Many times I find myself having to hang up and call again, hoping I will get someone else that I can understand. So please, all you nice ELLs out there, if someone you're talking to asks you to please speak more slowly --- speak more slowly! Communication is more important than speed.

Great video, just what I needed! Vocabulary is also important, you can know where and how to put every word in a paragraph and pronounce them correctly but you need a good vocabulary to really speak like a native. What matter the most? All of them of course, you need every component to be understood in a conversation, otherwise the communication won't be carried out

I think the context put every part of the learning process in order. Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation really work together in ( or at, correct me) a proper context. That's the matter in your videos.♥️

For some years, I believed learning pronunciation was extremely important more than grammar. Indeed, I didn´t care about grammar. Nowadays, I have many regrets about it. I am capable imitate a native easily. However, I get into big trouble whenever I try building my own sentences. Yeah! I never know with precision which preposition to use, and It makes me insecure always I go into a dialogue. I usually struggle, and I get so upset at the fact of struggling with the obvious. Balance in everything is the rule to success. I care. It´s matters. I mind English grammar.
@natalytverdunova75075 жыл бұрын
I think that in order to define what matters when learning English, you have to set a goal and know your level. If it’s upper-intermediate then vocabulary matters as on this level it’s supposed that you have already known Grammar and endeavor to get fluency in Speaking. So everything is about your intention. As for me, it’s fluency when talking to someone and the barrier is not the fear to talk but Vocabulary and thoughts expression in English as it’s tough when you are not a native.
