Hey, Aly. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us. You're great! My answers: - Do you mind teaching me how to sing like a good opera singer? - When I was a child, I thought I would become a superhero, just like Superman or Green Lantern. - My friend Frank wouldn't join me for a classical music concert since he was feeling a bit under the weather. - If I met my favorite celebrity, it'd be Cecilia Bartoli. I'd tell her that I admire her and all the effort she's made to reach her goals and spread her love for singing. I'd also ask her if I could hug her and sing a piece for me. - If a friend had to break up with his girlfriend, I'd advise him to do it as soon as possible and without beating around the bush too much. - If I hadn't gone to school today, I would've continued reading the book my mother gave me yesterday morning. - I would've broken up with him straight away. - When I was a child, I would play with my friend Daniel every day after school. I'd also disobey my mother and argue with my two younger brothers. Besides that, I used to be less discipline as well as a bit less slim. Wish you a good day!

Questions 1.- Would you mind bringing me a glass of water? 2.- I thought when I was young that I would be a doctor. 3.- She said that she would do it later. 4.- I asked to my friend if he had my pencil, but he wouldn't answer me. 5.- If I met Papa Teach, I would talk him about his excelent work on the videos! 6.- I'd do it in the more polite and friendly way as possible. In person seems to me the best option for formal stuff. 7.- If I hadn't stayed in my home today, I would be at the streets all day long. 8.- If my hipothetycal girlfriend had cheated on me, I would´ve talked with her inmediatly for clear the situation and get over. If it's possible togheter, and if it´s not, I would end off the relationship. 9.- A years ago, I'd go to the park everyday after school, when I used to be more thin. Extra (3rd conditional): If he wouldn't have knew that, he probably would be alive. Qué interesante, noté que el verbo modal "Would" es la forma que se tiene en inglés para expresar lo que en español serían las conjugaciones del subjuntivo. Este fue un vídeo muy explicativo y útil, ¡gracias!

1. Would you mind me sharing your awesome videos with my friends, Aly? 2. As a child, I thought I would be a vet, but I’m allergic to all kinds of pets, so it didn’t happen. 3. Your friend told you she’d send you a photo of their new puppy later. 4. I asked a friend of mine to join me for a trip to another city on the Independence day, but she wouldn’t come because a new episode of The Handmaid’s Tale was on TV at that time and she didn’t want to miss it. I forgave her. Eventually. 5. If I met Collin Farrell I wouldn’t be able to move or do anything at all; I would stare at him as if I saw a ghost, try to smile, say hello and run away. 6. If I had to break up with somebody I would do it face to face, no matter how hard it might be. It just seems to be the right way to do it. 7. It’s Saturday, so I don’t have to work today.. But if I had gone to work today, I wouldn’t have eaten all the food from the fridge. And I wouldn’t have to go out and buy some more now.. 8. If my bf had cheated on me I would be pissed. That’s why I prefer keeping it casual with other people. There’s no such thing as cheating when you don’t have a boyfriend. 9. When I was a child I used to like reading, I would read one book after another, but I would hate being called a bookworm. I used to be less sociable than I am now. But I used to look just as ugly as I do now =/

Thanks.

If I met Roger Federer, I would probably collapse and after regaining consciousness I would say he’s the best tennis player EVER (the GOAT!) and it’s quite a blast watching him play on grass court. 6. I’d totally do it face to face! OK, you don’t love him anymore (or maybe you never did), but the least you could do is show some respect, you know? 7. If I hadn’t gone to work today, I would have gone for a walk on the beach. 8. I would have broken up with him. 9. When I was a teenager, I used to be more laid-back. Yes, I don’t mind. When I was a child I would like to be an engineer. I am kind of disappointed not to be an engineer. But in my 50s I have changed my mind. Today I want to become a terrific English teacher. If I lived in a century 60 E.C I would meet Jesus Christ. Hi, Aly, first of all, thank you a lot for the videos. Never missed one. But the thing I wanted to ask, is that true that when using “would” talking about past we’re adding some kind of nostalgia? I’ve read it somewhere and now after the video I feel a bit uncertain. Is that true?

That's the very interesting video. But I' d like to add here that in Russian culture we don't have such habit to ask hypothetically. We are asking the following way: Do you wanna...? I should say that we're more direct and presice and wanna have a true answer with no hint. So, this video for me was very comparative. Would you mind filming a video about contemporary English habits and preferences? All I know are five o'clock tea, X-mas time, the Boxing day, bank holidays.🌼🌷🌺

Very usefull lesson as usual. Everytime I watch your english video lesson, I was like , Wow! This is what I'm looking for, you really know what the learners need. Unfortunately I don't have much time to learn. Thank you Aly for the lessons. I'm sorry if my sentence is messed. I'm leraning english from youtube randomly so sometimes I get confused which I should learn first. Thanks so so much for the lessons

That was a lesson! Truly spacious. For such comprehensive topics it helps to make conspect in order to continue absorbing all the information after a lesson itself. Thanks for your great job, I see what amount of everything you put in videos, so they are so simple and fun.

Very informative and useful, thanks a lot. I used to have problems with “Would” 😊 and I would make mistakes. Now I’m good))) Ali please, create a video with all the forms of “I wish”. Looking forward to it. If there is this video on your channel, please give me a link.
