It probably takes longer with both baskets because it has to split the electric power between two baskets. US outlets are generally limited to 1500 watts and with using only one basket, it can probably use the full 1500 watts of heating on the one basket.
@JoesPhenomenal25 күн бұрын
Yep.... Agreed. That makes perfect sense... However, typical modern kitchen circuits are 20 Amp, which would make it 2400w... That's shared over the whole circuit though, so going over that 1500w mark would probably cause a lot of breaker trips.. It already does anyway if you have 2 high wattage small appliances on one... That's why you typically have 2 separate ones to cover the kitchen outlets.. I think you're exactly right on the reasoning though.

Wow! Ninja really thought of everything with this machine. They've really got some amazing product developers. And your review of it was excellent. You answered every question I would have had if I were to feel the need to purchase one of these. That's what's needed for a review to be useful. If I had a shortage of counter space I would look into one of these. But I already have my "double air fryer" needs pretty well covered. Thanks for the great review. 😎

Looking to buy first air fryer, this is the same depth as my counter, would fit perfectly between my oven and fridge. Think I’m sold. Saw an offer on this hence why watching this review. The extra time doesn’t bother me if using both zones. I live on my own so I think it might be overkill but my mind says to get the best and I heard ninja is the best ☺️

@@JoesPhenomenal I read some reviews about it cooking unevenly, overcooking at the handles and undercooking at the back. I suspect people had heat too high or something. Have you experienced anything similar to this?
@JoesPhenomenal3 ай бұрын
@danb5119 I did a lot of recipes in there and other than the upper cooking a little faster than the lower, I had pretty good luck... I was making sure there was circulation in there though, and I was shaking baskets on air fired stuff... It's just hot moving air, so if you keep that in mind, I think there is a better result.

Got one sat in the kitchen delivered today opened it looked at it & didn’t even plug it in and it’s repacked ready to be returned…the drawers don’t seem that big tbh, they look far bigger on videos than they actually are & yes it is the double stack XL mine is actually the plus that comes with a built in meat probe… not sure weather to give it a chance after watching this vid.
@JoesPhenomenalАй бұрын
I thought they were pretty big. I was able to use each drawer for a roasted whole chicken... BUT, every time I need to double stack something in one drawer, it definitely does feel cramped in there. If you're cooking for maybe 4 people, that size can be a problem.
@magtour6 күн бұрын
I had it ordered and promptly cancelled once I realized the cooking time is no faster than my oven when using both baskets. The side by side does not have the issue of doubling time due to both baskets being utilized. I’m not disappointed with my final choice.

US power supply is not as good as in the UK, (only 110v V 240v) so US can't cope with the power requirement of using both trays at once. There have been several reviews of this airfyer in the UK, using 240v and there was no difference in cooking using one or two trays at once. US needs to invest in better power system in homes, Lol..... 8-)

My problem with Air Fryers is... kind of stupid. I bought the NInja Dual Zone, and literally filled the baskets with food to feed my room mates and myself, just as shown in the images. One was an entire bag of fries (28oz), the other a bag of chicken fingers (like a dozen?) cooked them as the bags said and both sides came out soggy and semi-cold in the middle. i returned it shortly after anything I tried came out just soggy/soft compared to cooking in an oven. Ever since then I've been turned off to Air Fryers, annoyed it didn't work like the advertisements/packaging (I know stupid) or wondering if I just didn't cook/use it correctly.
@Yielar1Ай бұрын
Sounds like you added to much in each basket and the airflow wasn't great. You also need to shake up the baskets to mix the food a few times during the cook
@marbles8641Ай бұрын
@@Yielar1 Do I pull it out or just grab and shake. Yea I admit I filled it like the images showed in the commercials/on the box and expected it to work like an idiot.

I'd pull it out and give it a good shake... You want to flip the stuff in there around so it cooks evenly.

@JoesPhenomenal25 күн бұрын
@lizhunter7537 luckily it doesn't seem to get much back in the area where the fan is. I'd had good luck cleaning the inside with a Scott Brite no scratch cleaning pad and detergent. Bar keepers friend can welp with the more stubborn stuff. The key is to clean it each time you use it, so existing stains don't get cooked into it too much, and it stays pretty easy.
