Not sure if you found this out yet but if you hold the map button it zooms your mini map out really far

Majority of player is on Asia because by default they set the game in Asia server and much normal casual gamers dont switch setting and just play the game, they never think their a Region server option and after most player find out asia go faster , we all switch in asia.

I think that cross play is good, I don’t think people are playing much on the Nintendo switch, I have to use Asia my location, since Australia might be considered as Asia

Mini map rotation is a preference more than a good setting to change and imo I HATE mini map rotation, especially in a game like this where there's multiple maps that take a while to get used to every path. It can throw off overall sense of direction. Mine stays locked, so I don't even need to "follow a marker" because I know I need to head North. I also don't need to check the mini map for the boss because again, my sense of direction is just more grounded vs rotating mini map. Again, all settings are preference, but the rest I generally agree with more. If the default was rotate I'd prefer it get mentioned, this change from constant to rotating feels backwards to most traversal based games to me. But everyone has their preferences so no hate to people that want these settings, and it's good to point out that they're options. Some may prefer to see that wall is in front of them and in front being down because it's South could be confusing. And most of the time I find matches in NA under a minute, so even here it's not that bad for a majority of lower rank missions (I'm still grinding for some of those cosmetics)

Yeah i hate mini map rotation as well. I can navigate maps as is but when a game makes its mini maps rotate, i feel like a lost child it's just disorientating to me personally. If I know exactly where a landmark is, I just rotate my character, not the mini map.

It doesn't help that in alot of games north isn't prominently marked on the map. And sometimes has things on the edges of the map that can block the north marker! T,.,T

I set my stuff to NA when I first loaded up but somehow I ended up in Asia servers lol. Had no idea till I just checked

NA server is absolutely dead and I don't think you're doing anyone a disservice by advising them to switch to Asia. The difference in lag and responsiveness in game feels about the same.

I find matches in about 10 to 15 seconds and have been playing for the past 6 days. I don’t think it’s dead

did you know, you can hold select on a controller to even more zoom out minimap, i dont know for keyboard.
