I love this I learnt it when I was ill, something to pass the time. Then I was introduced adding beads to the threads. Pain threading the 8 threads with 1000+ beads . Just loved it . I use baking beads in a bag for different weights with the different threads.

I love using beads as well. The different shape ones. I use a lot of the dragon scale beads. They look amazing.

Both of those patterns are really great! You make it really easy to understand. I love the black and yellow combo the most.

These look really great. The wider one would look great as a choker with a pearl or charm dangling at the front. 😊

I love kumihimo, I’ve been doing it for about 15 years. I’ve started using a marudai rather than the small discs. The limit of the patterns is endless. I make kids ones and do Elmo, Mickey Mouse etc patterns, even Christmas patterns. I’m obsessed with anything Japanese.

I haven’t had the courage to try s Marudai, I think I would get totally lost. I really admire you for mastering it. 🎉🎉🎉

This looks like a really interesting craft to try. I need to use up all my macreme cord since I'm finding macreme really frustrating. I would like to make a belt and a new purse strap. But darn, you didn't show us how you attach the two ends.

The link for the bobbins are for sewing thread not the ones you use. 😮. Edit: I feel it would be easier too follow up if you used the alpha and number references.
