When putting oils in your hair does anyone notice when you distribute the oils (either via fingers or comb) that more hair strands come out? More than if you just comb through or even after conditioner.
@naomiiii68453 жыл бұрын
Don't comb or brush your hair after oiling; your hair may be prone to falling out as we massage our scalp, the pores open up. And DON'T BRUSH YOUR HAIR WET!! Use a wide tooth comb and try avoiding touching your hair too much when it's wet. I prevent this by drying my hair with a dryer because my hair falls out SO MUCH whEn I put oil or it's wet. If you don't wanna use dryer tie your hair in a microfibre cloth😄

Maybe but oil does protect your hair. I don't use olive oil to "treat" my hair. My hair is what it is and that's it. I oil my scalp to promote hair growth and oil my ends to protect them from the shampoo, even though I use a sulfate/silicone free shampoo. Also use a teeny tiny bit of olive oil as serum. So again, oils won't really change the base nature of your hair, but it does help with protection and with giving it a more "silky" appearance.

I agree with you to an extent. She does have straight hair which makes it so much easier to manage and take care of. I have thick curly hair that’s impossible to manage. BUT the only thing that’s keeping my hair going and growing is oil. Hair like mine and I’m sure anyone with thick curly hair can agree that out hair type gets damaged faster due to us trying to manage, control and style it from looking crazy. Oils really make my hair silky and moisturized and it’s actually helped repair a lot of my previous damage

One of the tricks we use on thelonghaircommunity is applying a cheap conditioner(suave/vo5) everywhere you placed the oil. Then get in the shower and rinse, then shampoo as usual. Since I am lazy, I get into the shower with oil still on my hair, wash with conditioner, then wash with shampoo. If it still feels greasy(almost never happens) I shampoo one more time. This always works for me and it doesn’t dry my hair out which is the problem I get by only rinsing with shampoo. Hope this helps or was interesting!

What I do when I oil my hair: SCALP: A drop of tea tree oil Mane Hair oil Castor oil (Half the mixture is castor and the other half Is mane) HAIR SHAFT AND DOWN: Argan oil HAIR WASH: I use co wash (from L’Oréal, the blue bottle I forgot the name but it says curly, I don’t have curly hair but it works lol) I only do the scalp I do not bring shampoo to the ends of my hair. I condition with a good amount of conditioner from Shea moisture the castor oil one. DRYING: I softly press out the water from my hair then put it into a microfiber towel AFTER CARE: Everyday after washing I put a coin size amount of argan oil in my shaft and down. This works for my hair and my hair is so soft. But I advise for more thicker oils to wash two time AND ALWAYS DILUTE YOUR SHAMPOO!!

I’m Brazilian and in Brazil, there is a very useful method to take the oil out of your hair. 1- pass the oil on your hair, NO SOAK! Then, you can sit it on your hair for 3 or 4 hours, or you also can sleep with the oil on your hair. 2- After the pause, you must pass a hair mask over the oil (this one MUST be totally free of paraffins, silicones, petrolatums and mineral oils. It’s essential, right?). This mask will absorb 95% of the oil from your hair, that will make so much easier the process of removing the oil out of your hair. Then, you have to sit this mask for 30 minutes. 3- After that, you can wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner. That’s it, im learning english, so im sorry if i said something wrong, ok? This works very well to me, i hope the same to you guys!

Any time ive ever used coconut oil on my hair. It breaks my skin out terribly if i get it on my face or neck ect. Soo be mindful, it may do the same to you. Keep it only on the hair.

In my experience, conditioner before shampoo really helps to loosen up the oil. Then, I shampoo a little more thoroughly than normal, and follow up with another round of conditioner.

Before I oil my hair I wet it ,this is the best tip for black people like me :) I do this for 2 days and then in the next 2 weeks I do it again also if ur black and want really long hair I recommend don't cut it because it won't grow fast also rice water works too ,u don't need to do what shes doing if ur black ,brown, light skinned its very simple wet your hair then oil it and leave it in overnight then wash it out this might work I tell u the results!
@jungwonscactus94252 жыл бұрын
Please don’t go around telling ppl to use rice water. A lot of them don’t know that it really does NOT work for low porosity hair/ natural hair and if you use it incorrectly you can get protein overload and the hair will BREAK
