Excellent tip, especially that 2nd one! My pickup truck is a real struggle to fit front to back. This is the fix.

How much would you charge to make the one that sits on the ground? I'll buy 1.

Look up "Parking Delineator" . Used by road construction folks ect. Just an orange plastic post with a heavy rubber base. Under $20, find a safety stores. Easily portable. Pull in till you touch the post. it's made for this, zero car damage. Like the vid though, good ideas, DYI is good stuff!

I find it funny when people think they came up with something so clever and have to share it with the rest of the world then they find our it already exists. lol

The good 'ol "Move 'till you hit something" trick, a.k.a. "Parking by hearing"

I was in Paris a few years ago and one of the things that I noticed about the people there (who park along the streets) is that they "park by feel"... They will bump the car in front of and behind them in order to squeeze into a spot that is too small for them... The smallest spot that I would attempt to park in would leave me a foot in front and behind my vehicle when I finished and I could do it without touching the other cars... The drivers over there would attempt to park in spots that were even smaller and they didn't care if they hit the other cars or even if they pushed the cars a bit to make more room... If you parked like that around here, you would probably get (justifiably) shot...

Great ideas. What material is that red colored block at the bottom?

Thanks! It is 2x10’s stacked, 3 of them screwed together then painted, used as a weight for the base (for the pole to go into) so it doesn’t get tipped over or moved when the pole is pushed on by the vehicle.

What can you use to prevent hitting the inside wall of your garage when pulling in? I have to back in, and I have difficulty making sure to clear the wall with various items placed next to the wall. I have hit the side bumper of my car many times. I can not see the items there because they are lower than my car. Can you please suggest something?

Yeah, it's pretty good to install, only if you don't have to think about it it will make kids' heads stumble...

I've used the ol' "tennis ball on a string" for my wife for over 30 years... Just need to adjust the length of the string for where it needs to hit the windshield whenever she gets a new car, so probably around 5 times so far... My Jeep Wrangler JL is a 2-door model and would not normally need something like this, but I park in the back of the garage, so space is a bit tight... Originally I had something like your weighted PVC post (but with a pool "noodle" on it because it had a more visible color) in front of the Harley so that I didn't hit it, but I got tired of having to move it around when I needed to take the bike out, so I hung the PVC pipe and "noodle" from the ceiling instead... One problem with my weighted base design was that the concrete base was high enough that if it was in front of my wife's car, she could scrape the air dam on her car against it and she wouldn't notice... When dealing with women and parking, you most definitely need to make it completely idiot-proof...
