Just in time for Halloween, with an extremely spooky price to match, it's 23-24 SP Authentic from Upper Deck. At anywhere from $450 to an eye watering $600 canadian per box, it's massively overpriced and should be avoided by most people until the price comes down, which due to reasons I mention in the video it probably will. I pull a very surprising big hit as well, which is nice, but overall this set should be a pass for most people wanting to open a box of hockey cards.

Thanks. Some people complain I talk to much at the start of my reviews. I guess some people have issues finding the scrub bar to skip to the opening.

Wow huge man! Cool! Great informative video. By the way, I don't blame the small shops for charging what the big shops are charging. Like small shop gets one or two cases total. But I totally agree with this one especially breakers charging $600 a box.

Long time watcher, first time commenter. I love your brutal honesty when it comes to your thoughts on products etc. As someone that does breaks, I have to ask, why do you hate breakers? If they charge a fair price, it is a great way for people to be able to dip their toe in on a product before deciding if they want to go all in on a box.

Firstly, thanks so much for watching. I don't get enough space in a YT comment to explain the economics behind why breaking is awful for the hobby as a whole, and is a large part of what has caused prices to skyrocket well beyond the normal factors of organic demand and inflationary factors. This is of course above and beyond the other issues of adding an additional layer of gambling to the hobby while also introducing the possibility of getting absolutely nothing for your money. I've been planning to make a video on it and probably will at some point. Should also point out most individuals who break I have no issues with aside from a couple. It's the act of breaking and what it does to the hobby I take issue with.

I don't understand why Upper Deck and other card manufacturers can't use an MSRP. At least for the first 90 days of a product's release, or something. You'd think that someone at UD would understand that the vast majority of the public thinks they are the ones who control pricing anyway, and for a product to go up 200% or more is a bad look for their brand.

Really cool to hit an inscribed FWA. I think this product is a wasteland this year, there's almost nothing you can do other then hit a 1:100,000 Bedard or take a bath.
