Four corners is my favorite. Even early planning can be really useful. Like chopping all trees except for the oaks down in the top left corner then come back with tappers. Later more tappers when more oaks are grown.. Fastest keg gain I've done so far.

Finally, a KZbinr who understands that the Wilderness farm has its own appeal! I love the amount of space, the monsters, and the opportunities the layout offers me. Each farm has its own use and appeal, depending on how someone wants to play. Your Wilderness farm layout looked great!

Hilltop is useful the quarry gives you artifacts and you van get sewers key fall year 1. Iridium sprinklers anyone without going to desert. Also best farm

I've tried to play on hilltop a few times but I always get frustrated at how asymmetric the layout becomes once you try to lay down paths 😭

when my boyfriend and I played for the first time we didn't know anything about the differences of the farms, but somehow we managed to take advantage, would you imagine my surprise when I discovered later that it's supposed to be more recommended to pro players and not newbies

I wish I would see this clip before I started the game. Bcause I, as a new player has chosen Beach farm and suddenly got shock to find the truth that I caouldn't put a sprinkler in the majority area of Beach Farm. That made me this upset as I didn't normally watch any clips about games' techniques like this. I just would like to plant a bunch of crops but it's too late for me to start a new one as I very less free time nowadays... (It consumes time if I start all over again). So, now I just adapt with my mini-soil area (not at full potential of the area as I want it to be a beautiful area too) and focus on animals...Yeah, I still can enjoy it once again luckily.

My favourite farms are the beach farm and the four corners. The only farm I still haven't tried is the wilderness farm juat yet, I'm saving that farm for when I try for the roommates with Krobus option, and I'm saving that for last (I am crating new saves to romance each possible character, and I'm only a few characters through so far)

I think I've only played on the (vanilla) Forest and Standard farm layouts. I just happened to pick Forest for my first playthrough because it appealed to me on some aesthetic/theoretic level, and it turned out to be quite helpful. You didn't even mention the extra wild seeds you get, from the special weeds that only spawn on that farm layout. Standard is amazing for the simplicity and openness. I don't see any compelling reason to play on any of the other map types.

Can you make some videos showing the farms you have made? We saw some glimpses here but I would like to see more. They look amazing. Could be just a general tips video about designing farms for efficiency and/or aesthetics.

I feel there are a few arguments you need to look at before making these rankings. Some good examples that really matter to some people would be: Quarries, Hilltop and Four Corner Farm both have access to one of those. They can be a valuable source of ore, especially if you make a challenge run that forbids going into the mines or sth similar. Also, there is different fish that can be caught on different farm. While the beach farm has the same fish as the normal ocean, the Forest Farm allows you to fish up the Woodskip, a fish that is usually limited to the secret forest. Also, another downside of the Riverfarm is the terrible placement of the big rocks and logs, that make good farm usage without upgraded tools impossible.

First ever playthrough was on Riverland. Had golden clock and pointless casinos statue in year four. If that map is for pros only then Stardew pros are free.

When creating a world, on the bottom left there’s an extra settings option. There you can enable monsters.
