Another tip about Ranching: Both Lv10 Skills increase their respective animals chance to produce Iridium quality products. Eliminating the need to process them.
@Foefaller Жыл бұрын
However, you will still make more money per milk and egg by processing and selling the cheese and mayo with the artisan profession. This is especially true for eggs, and since all animal products take less than a day to process, the convenience of skipping that step isn't really that big of a draw. Shepard is only superior to Artisan for profit on Barn goods if you plan on raising exclusively sheep, and Coopmaster is for those who want to fill out coops and ostrich barns as quickly as possible from just a single bird.
@MalekitGJ Жыл бұрын
@@Foefaller yeah, but you lose the Artisan bonus if you pick any of the Animal picks. Also, the idea of coopmaster is to sell the fully groomed chickens, since it can take a 1/3 of the time with an Auto-petter.
@Foefaller Жыл бұрын
@@MalekitGJ I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is that Rancher + Shepard/Coopmaster only makes you more money than Artisan if you are dealing exclusively in wool. Even if Iridum Milk is worth more than the Cheese you could make with it boosted by Rancher, it's not worth more than Cheese boosted by Artisan.

Coopmaster is also good for getting absolutely buried in iridium quality rabbit feet. Very few people want to do this, of course, but since it is my only concrete goal, I always pick Coopmaster.

only reason I need these is because Rabbit's Foot is universally loved and iridium quality gives a 50% boost to friendship points

I have a challenge farm to get as many ducks as possible, using incubators. Coopmaster was a necessity!! (Playing on Riverland as it's the easiest one to get ducks to swim in lol.)

@victoriahewitt9938 Жыл бұрын
Not a big deal, but breaking rocks doesn't give you XP, except for rocks on you farm, in the forest, if there's a geode, coal, or ore inside, or the shiny grey rocks in the mines. Ore & gem nodes are what give you mining XP. ;) And if you go the crab pot route, pick no bait. Never worry about having to have bait on you & the "trash" gives me some valuable treasures like refined quartz & coal. This route won't make you as much money as the fishing route, but it's great if you're racing to marry Elliott or Sebastian or hate fishing & want to slowly level up without using your rod. Also sashimi is quite good money & health wise. I've only gone the animal route once, & it was for a challenge farm to get as many ducks as possible using just incubators. Yes, it's been torture lol, but fun to take a different spin than my usual playthroughs. Unless you're doing something like that just stick with Artisan. However it can be really fun trying different skills on different farms & seeing how they each affect your play style! (You can always change professions once the sewer is unlocked.)

I am always indecisive on whether or not I want to use the galaxy sword or the galaxy hammer so I make both into infinity weapons and swap out when I feel like it. I typically carry a sword everywhere since its faster so I just use brute profession just in case I'm too lazy to grab my hammer... I definitely prefer the hammer for the dangerous mines, volcano, and skull cavern overall though.

Me with my maple syrup farm that literally takes up a quarter of my farm aka half the land I use: what do you mean the tapper profession is useless? 250 x 40 is 10000 every nine days for like no work. I have weeks of time to do other farming work while the maple syrup rolls in.
@olis2073 Жыл бұрын
10,000 every 9 days is nothing. I normally earn that much everyday just by selling random stuff and animal artisan products.

Hmm. I don't want to sacrifice the farm space (I have a lot of animals, so I need it to grow grass) but you make a really good point as far as low effort passive income. I have tons of seeds and tree fertilizer saved up. I could probably plant a tapper tree farm outside my farm with little effort.
@wolfofsummerbreeze Жыл бұрын
@@slwrabbits ... yeah I don't know about you but I prefer Silo's and auto feeding barns to grass. If you're not RPing your farm as if the animals are real they don't need to have much space outside.

@@wolfofsummerbreeze I'm working on my fourth deluxe coop full of rabbits and I spend a couple hours every morning petting them and watching them run around eating grass. I actually wouldn't let my real rabbits outside because it's so risky (they can pick up deadly parasites or be eaten by wild animals) so I enjoy pretending that my digital animals get to frolick outdoors. It's hugely inefficient, but I like the little snuffling noise they make.

Hard disagree on the mining profession recommendations. Excavator is by far the best profession early game because geodes are quite important for getting minerals to give to Gunther or optionally as presents to villagers. Blacksmith is completely useless until late game where you can mass sell iridium bars, and prospector is literal trash since you can get easy coal by farming dust sprites. Gemologist is the best profession late game when you have crystalarium farms
@timohara77175 ай бұрын
Prospector is meh, but the rest of the mining professions are pretty valenced
@timohara77175 ай бұрын
Also crysteleriuns sound boring on mass, just like farming. Why not instead make a luck build and farm gem nodes and geodes
@matthewgladback8905 Жыл бұрын
The chance of getting coal from Prospector is really low. It's a false promise. Players need a more reliable method of acquiring coal. Early on, a Charcoal Kiln can help, but it's a loser in the long run. In almost all games, wood is too limited. Buying coal is a thing you really only do in the end game, and the price is much higher from year 2 on. [1] I'd recommend farming Dust Sprites. The Burglar Ring is a must anyway. With the Burglar Ring and Monster Musk, this can be a surprisingly productive use of your time, especially if you have a large number of furnaces running (processing iridium and/or radioactive bars, no doubt.) Blacksmith can make a ton of money in the late game. [1] -- Combining these two, you can buy wood to keep that early game Charcoal Kiln running, but it doesn't save that much money. Buying entire stacks of wood at the year 1 price is an option to consider, though. That's something I already do anyway. Winter 1 is a good time to start, as there's little to do but mine.
