As always we are doing wonderful here, everyone is happy and we’re all healthy!!
I’ve combined a few videos I’ve taken over the past few days for your viewing pleasure!

❗️❗️❗️85% of parrots are either resold, given away, or abandoned within just 2 short years of being purchased. ADOPT DONT SHOP! Rescues are full of these wonderful birds, neglected, abandoned, and thrown out by inexperienced and most uneducated people that didn't know the kind of work and commitment it takes to have birds. STOP UNNECESSARY BIRD BREEDING FOR PROFIT, and help these magnificent creatures.
If you are unable to adopt then please consider donating to a rescue/sanctuary that volunteers their time to help these animals in need. 💚
I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds. ❗️No two parrots are alike...
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
So if you are interested in a parrot, please research, volunteer at a parrot rescue/sanctuary, KNOW what you're getting yourself into before you take on the work that comes with loving and homing a parrot.
Parrots are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots the best life they can possibly have! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.)
But to me it's all worth it, my parrots are my family and I love them like my children!
Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...
They only have us💗❗️❗️

@McKenna Schabert cockatoos are Parrots. Just like amazons,macaws,conures,African greys etc know your parrots. There are some 350 different species and generas of these smart beautiful birds sometimes called feathered primates because they are highly intelligent and just like us humans,

I love gotcha! Every time he sees sticks on tv he gets the *”mommy I’m scared, save me!”* look. it’s heartbreaking as I have PTSD myself and don’t have a service animal as of yet. Gotcha is a beautiful bird! His voice is so sweet! I’m considering getting a budgie myself!

Eyeless Jack The Kidney-Loving Cannibal......I agree! Whenever I need something to brighten my day, watching Gotcha does the trick!!! While I have a fear of birds (my mom instilled this in 2 of her three daughters!) I do like watching Gotcha! Years ago, a pet shop near us got 4 baby cockatoos...and I was able to touch them, they were sooo soft. I did enjoy petting seeing those baby cockatoos!! They were so amazing. My oldest son was given a cockatoo...and Katie is sooo right about people getting rid of these wonderful birds much of the time. The bird that my son was given had been given to 3 families, making my son the 4th person who took him. My son tired of the bird really fast (the bird was very loud & had some bad habits)and I was upset that he, like everyone else that had the bird didn't want to keep him and give him a good home. I finally asked a gal that I knew who had an African Grey, a Cockatoo and a couple of parrots. This gal agreed to take the bird from my son and give the bird a good home. He has lived with this woman for 4 yrs now and has a happy home and is VERY well taken care of which is what this cockatoo deserved. This bird is living in a home with a woman that truly loves her feathered friends and takes wonderful care of them. While I do occasionally watch other YT channels with Cockatoos, Katie has such an amazing way with all the animals she & her DH have. Katie, you actually remind me a lot of my mom.....My mom loved all animals(except birds, she had been frightened somehow when she was quite young) I grew up with a lot of animals, and when seeing Katie's videos, it reminds me of when I was younger and growing up with my sisters because my parents had all kinds of animals, not just cats and dogs. I had an amazing childhood and Oliver & his soon to be sibling will grow up having an amazing love for animals because of their parents. Great job Katie!

It's amazing how busy you must be....taking care of all the animals and Oliver too!
