Great suggestion, thanks! To REALLY silence the pedal, turn it around as described in this video, and go to StreamDeck > Preferences (the cogwheel icon) > Devices > Stream Deck Pedal. Move the Sensitivity slider all the way to the left. This allows you to trigger the pedal with a much smaller movement, and thereby cuts down on a lot of opportunities for it to make a noise. Use a light touch on both the press and the release and you'll be able to switch it in almost complete silence. Also, turning it around as you described makes the LED visible to the user. This is a plus for finding the black pedal in the shadows under a desk.

I unironically opened mine up and loosely filled it with earplugs. Made a world of difference. Just watch out not to block any of the connecting parts. You have to unscrew the 2nd layer and slowly pull the pedals up and they will un-attach at the large end (and stay connected at the small end/hinge). Just buy a big bag of cheap earplugs and sort them into the open areas inside the pedals. It totally got rid of that echo/resonance from inside the pedal. You can of course go too far and make the pedals hard to push. Just find a happy medium and most of the sound will be gone. The only thing left is the plastic sliding sound but you can also help that with some potentiometer lubricant. Yes, I completely over-engineered my fix. But I fixed it.
