Just got my prompter and am trying to get all three pedals working, one forward, one backward and center pause. But I don’t see a backward on the Camera Hub app, which did you use? Great and helpful vid!

Glad I could help! I used the Prompter Control action and changed setting to Scroll. One side +10 and the other -10

Thanks! I set up the left and right pedals to control scrolling up and down. The middle is a play/pause.

Great content. Just got my Prompter yesterday. I have been using the neewer X 12 with PromptSmart Pro. But I love this Elgato prompter better. I’ve been using the mobile Stream Deck app on my iPhone to control the prompter. And I also have a button for record and pause for OBS.

Thank you for the kind words! Yes the attachment is called the elgato heavy clamp. You can probably get by with any ball head camera clamp. I believe smallrig and neewer make similar options

Great video! Exactly what I was looking for. I will use this in my everyday KZbin content and also bring it for my clients that I work with. I am also a Nikon guy like you! If I may ask, why did YOU choose Nikon? :)

Awesome! Glad my vid helped! My cousin shot with Nikon and he always went on about how the colors were. I ended up switching from Canon to Nikon and have just loved it since. Nikon always reminds me as a jack of all trades. Could the focus system in the Z lineup be better? Yeah of course; doesn't mean I can't get killer images and video though! Would loe to hear what you are shooting with!

@@MatsuXL yeaa it could be better but the Z mount started just a few years ago. They will improve it I am sure. Also Z9 chips and capabilities are slowly coming down to lower bodies. Give it a year or two and the AF system will be top everywhere. I shoot with Z30 and Z6II. BUT for computer connected content I have a Elgato Facecam Pro due to the easier setup no overheating issues and long gaming sessions. That is also natively compatible with Prompter, but correct me if I am wrong. :) My Prompter is coming with the December batch. Around Christmas. It will definitely give me the creative boost when I will be avle to work off of a script that I wrote.

Great video! But how do you record video when the foot pedal is so noisy? It makes such loud clicks.

Those clicks actually help during the edit process and help indicate where I need to clip.

You can use an iPhone as a camera but not use the software on the iPhone or use the screen to project the iPhone screen. Android supports displaylink which could use it as a second screen

I purchased the Elgato Prompter and the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal. I want to use the pedal to scroll the prompters text for talking head videos for youtube. I plugged everything in and dowloaded the most recent version of Stream Deck on Elgato's website, but when I'm in the floating pedal application, it just says "Stream Deck". There's no "stream deck pedal" profile. What do i do? How do i get the stream deck pedal profile and all plugins and commands?
