In spain we have parchis. A far more strategical version of it for a few reasons. The board is much longer, same shape but longer There are safe spaces in between each of the four sections, where you can not be eaten A piece getting eaten gives a 10 space move. Two pieces of the same color on any square establish a barrier that can not be jumped by anyone but must be broken on a 6 You have to move your pieces to the final center square or you bounce back

Two or more pieces of same colour sitting on the same square cannot be captured by an opponent piece. 4. In ludo you can actually apply a bit of backgammon strategy. When you’re behind in the race, you want as many pieces on the board to maximize your chance to yeet someone, and when you’re ahead, you want to prioritize moving forward with your sixes to get to safety and keep your lead.
@SuperNerdEntertainmentShow4 жыл бұрын
From mesmerising the dice to rage quit..that's just how Autumn rolls. Tom gets himself in to a solid second place and quits. Emu has been doing nothing all game and turns in to a mad man, with the absence of others begins to steam roll...and despite an inevitable defeat, sticks with the game until the bitter end. Lesson to be learned kids...being the best at something or trying to cheat the system doesn't make you a good or nice person and while we applaud the winner I applaud Emu for sticking with and showing true gamesmanship.

We play this game whenever we visit my parents, but we play with a few (lot) more rules. # You always have to yeet when possible, if you ignore it and are caught, you lose the piece that should have done the yeeting. This can even force you to go another round. # Yeeting backwards is included # The 4 spots closest to the middle are diagonal warp fields. When you land on them, you are warped on the other side. (Including when yeeting back-/forward) So it is for example a yeetable situation, if you throw a 4, have to take them backwards, onto a warp field to yeet someone on the other side. # The finish line is 'count-sensetive': eg If you need a 4 to go to the end and throw a 5, you can not go in, but you can chose to not move (unless you have to yeet / or another piece is moveable) # no overtaking allowed in finish line # If you can't move any piece (ie all 4 in home, or 1 in end position in finish + 3 in home), you can throw the dice 3 times (until you get a six). # You always have to take a piece out of home, when you throw a 6 (if available) # You always have to free up starting location, if possible It sounds confusing, but makes the game so much better and way more strategic. Lots of yeeting included. And yeeting backwards from around starting area to finish area is just glorious. My partner was kinda sceptical in the beginning, but he is the grand master now. He really likes it.
