If you steal a pen in game you’re allowed to take screen shots or draw in real world to help you but have to dump it if you get searched.

Yay!!! Haven’t seen the video yet, but I’m hyped to see how it goes! (I suggested this prison, it's mine) Edit after watching: the organic layout is solely down to the fact that it's grown naturally over time, and I have 'extra reputations' on for prisoners meaning I needed to address fights and escapes from day 1. You see a couple of minimum sec prisoners with 'extremely' traits while in laundry. All the internal fencing was a cheap way to keep them in, wall off forestry areas (the main source of income making the prison possible) and divide areas for deployment. The number of snipers has been pretty consistent throughout the versions as the first couple of iterations had a central sniper nest of 3 that would monitor the forestry grounds. The medium sec stuff was added piecemeal as funds came in, and I had to build around the generated lakes. It's strange that you got taken through the visitors entrance to begin with though! There is a reception, but apparently the AI aren't using it now, who knows. Hope it was fun to look around and cause havoc in. There are edits already made, and I may suggest a later rendition if I find any weak points.

Are you planning another prison architect design series? I would love a school-themed prison with school dorms, some small restaurants on campus and a whole lot of classrooms. Also, in my own escape attempts my best counter to snipers is swerving around, dash left, dash right, don’t go straight to you target, somehow it seems to decrease their accuracy significantly, and killing a sniper outside of their tower gives you a ten shot gun with the highest damage in the game, and I’ve used this before to defeat the snipers inside of the towers

could you try escaping this by taking a rope from the laundry to climb over fences, and taking a chainsaw from the forestry to break open the gates?

The only ways I can think of for dealing with snipers are: 1. like you said use OTHER prisoners as a distraction. 2. Brake into the armory and find a sniper rifle of your own (thats a thing right?). I would assume you can Counter Snipe them off the towers.

Do snipers have schedules they stick by? If they did you could potentially try time you escape while a tower of your choosing is empty. Perhaps burning visitation then running down out the exit gate
