It's that simple, you jsut have to wash the container at every refill, as it tends to build up limescale which makes it look minging, but limescale comes off plastics with ease.

I have installed a similar one but didn't work so well as the soap slowly flowed back into the big container below. I later bought another one from China and this one worked well as they hv a non return valve at the bottom of the tube thus preventing back flow. One way valve can easily be bought from a fish accessories shop. It has served me very well since.

Then jump in the deep end of the DIY pool and buy a $15 pack ok carbide tip hole saws @Harbor Freight,use the old soap bottle as drop coolant and in 15 mins & patience you've upgraded a basic sink into the Moen & Joker spectrum.

Lowes sell a box of Assorted Holes. $2.97. Note though that when you first open the box it looks empty. You need to ‘clear your mind’.

Or, you could just refill your empty pump dispenser from that big bottle! (That’s why they sell these big containers of liquid soap!) It’s also worth remembering that those pumps don’t last forever and will fail at some point, so eventually you’re going to have to buy another pump bottle, if only for its pump.

Soap pump get blocked. Don't throw it away. Put it in plain water immerse the full pump with bottle full of water. After 24 hours you start pumping it will start working gradually. Because soap lumps get blocked between plastics parts.

Seems like a good concept, but it takes professional skills and tools to achieve this. Besides, that plastic tap you've created won't age very well at all, there's a reason why taps are made of polished metals that don't degrade in no time.

I agree. I used to work at a company that sold pump bottles of liquid soap and hand sanitizer. In order for the product to be affordable, they don't waste money on the pumps. They're only designed to last until the bottle is empty. Sure, you can get some extra uses out of them but they won't stand up over time.

Bela idéia, mas no suporte original de detergente pode ser acionado apenas com uma mão, com a esponja, enquanto que a outra segura o prato que vai ser lavado. Muito mais prático e rápido. Quem inventou os atuais suportes que espelem o detergente para cima, nunca lavaram prato na vida, senão teriam percebido isso.

Instead of going to the hardware supply and buying ~$7 worth of stuff and having the finished product look and perform and look like that I would rather buy the kit for about $10-$15 and it will look and preform better. I understand that this is useable and helps to a degree in reducing waste, but overall this isn’t practical.
