Excuse you, this is a lecture not a group discussion.... So can you please do everyone a favor by closing the one and opening the two? Thank you

I sincerely appreciate your efforts and learned first time how to avoid shut up and use more advance and polite words in the place of "shut up". Some other examples: 1. Zip your lips. 2. Quieten down. 3. Remain silence. 4. Keep mum. 5. Hold your tongue. Thanks and regards

From a mothers standpoint with children badgering and annoying each other, she'd pop in the room subsequently with the dialogue that would run such as "Seriously!?!", "enough of this", "stop it", "knock it off", drop it already, pack it in!, give it a rest!, pipe down! hold your horses, "nobody gets a point" ...until.... "you're grounded" The next lesson is how to pretty and politely say Shut Up to your boyfriend/partner/husband .... 👍

Hahaha almost all British people dislike Trump so much for his rudeness and arrogance that I understand your reaction here as well ( I remember also that Trump was not welcomed in UK when he visited it as US president a few years ago). By the way, I was following the whole debate and noticed that while talking, Biden was interrupted too often by Trump in exaggerated way, therefore, it was quite normal that finally Biden lost patience saying " Will you shut up man man ? " Even Chris Wallace, moderator of this debate, warned Trump at least twice because he did not respect the debate rule signed by both of them.

@@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah I am really curious to know how British politicians would have reacted there with Trump so rude and noisy with such frequent interruptions...the only thing I am sure of is that British people always counterattack in mild and polite way with some sarcasm which can work as a bodyblow instead of returning the same level's harsh words to the opponent...however, I wonder also who can resist him keeping calm for 90 minutes !! under that disgusting continuous attack and pressure without being able to leave that stage, so I cannot blame 77 y.o. Biden and honestly speaking, I was even worried about his health conditions which could have been affected by Trump's insisting bad manners if he had had to contain himself for all that time , lol

Hey Keanu! I love never heard of ‘dry up’ being used to tell someone to be quiet, more to say that something is finished/no more. E.g. the river had dried up. ☺️👍

Close the one and open the two" Means: shut up and open you eyes and ears! Used in a sentence. Excuse you, this is a lecture not a group discussion.... So can you please do everyone a favor by closing the one and opening the two? Thank you

In the Trump/Biden debate, the two were both rude and stupid, interrupting each other any time. Another good lesson, by the way.

Mr Trump interrupted several times and did not allow Mr. Biden to express his views. So "shut up man" is the correct phrase Mr. Biden used
