To be honest, it's hard to find a swear word in English... Well, I'm saying this because I'm Romanian native and I also speak Italian and Spanish beside English... All those words, are really smooth for me 😅

Very subtle vowel mutations. It takes a discerning ear to pick it out.

It’s the vowel sounds which make the Irish accent different from any accents in Britain .
@MrMelmott

The “Great Vowel” shift circa 16-17 hundred which changed pronunciation of certain vowels in Britain did not affect Dublin accents which stayed pretty much as it always was . With “O” being pronounced “Ow” as for example “a owld” for old or “bowl” for bowl etc . For example people will say “oh he has an “owld” cold or flu … which does not refer to the “age “ of the illness but rather how common it may be !

Great content, as a brit i always like a bit of rhyming slang, i like the fact the slang is often a ryme on a word which is also a nickname or alternate word for the item or place. Battle cruiser... cruiser ryming with boozer, boozer being slang for the pub, a couple of levels removed from the original word. Another example being used in the film snatch. 'Ill cut your jacobs off' so Jacobs crackers.. meaning knackers... knackers being slang for balls..i.e your testicles... Ill cut your jacobs off 😂

The accent your are imitating here is more Wigan or Bolton and not really Manchester. Words like go are not pronounced like the o’s in floor but more like oh so it’s not gore it’s goh and words that end in y are much less pronounced. They don’t sound like eh, listen to Keegans comedy or Piklongtons baby pronunciation and nobody says lark for like it’s more like the i in flight. This is the over-egged coronation street accent. There are multiple accents in Manchester. Michelle Keegan has a different one to Liam Gallagher. No offence but it’s probably not a good idea to teach a “Mancunian” accent if you’re not from Manchester and can’t distinguish the regions.

Above all, your lessons are very beneficial. You're doing a great job. When I am with friends, I genuinely admire you. Keep it up! To all my friends, I heartily recommend this channel.

Bit of fun. Actors tend to soften things when talking on American interviews. I’ve loads of dub friends. More on the north side and the city centre there’s more of a nasal o sound with words like “don’t, going, know.” I tends to sound like something between auy and oy. There’s a subtle pattern in sentences that has a bit of “ah jeez here we go again” Auy daownt knaow heww ta dew diss 😂 Bote den a gann Auymm joost a yank. If you’re ever at a loss just inhale sharply whilst saying “yea.”🤣
