I find that 'sorry' is better than 'my bad' when I'm the recipient as I find the latter less sincere. I use 'my bad' when I feel that whatever mistake I made isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. I live in Canada and we say sorry a lot.

Add the little preposition "so" into the statement "I'm sorry" to say "I'm so sorry" if you want add a bit more emphasis, or eliminate the abbreviation completely to say "I am so sorry" to add even more emphasis. These are little changes that can effectively change the level of emotion expressed when using the word "sorry" to apologize. Such power in words!

From Tanzania Sometime I use the word "sorry" intentionally for saving a time
@ПетърПетров-ъ9л5 жыл бұрын
"I take full responsibility" reminds me of the following. Not much after the 3th Roman emperor know as Caligula came to the throne, he fell ill and some of his senators publically "prayed" such things "Oh gods, bring him back to life, if we could, we would give our lifes instead of him" The emperor recovered and his first task was to make sure that the senators who prayed for him will keep their part of the deal. So we should be careful with the strong words. Taking full responsibility may be asking for punishment if the other side is not very mercifull.
