Was genuinely surprised at this game, visual novels aren’t my thing I gave it a chance cause Suda’s weirdness is something I enjoy. This game was an absolute blast to play from start to finish

i adore goichi suda, masafumi takada is one of my favorite composers, and akira yamaoka helped as well. wow, this game sounds awesome. im surprised this one flew under my radar, looks right up my alley. great video, im really liking this series!

Worth noting that the first chapter('0: Lunatics') won't make a great deal of sense if you didn't play Moonlight Syndrome. The killers are all survivors from the ending of MS.

Suda "killed the past", meta-textually speaking, with that choice of killers and victims for that Case.

PSA : There is a demo for the PC versions, so give them a try. Also, the game always goes on sale 51% off. ;)
@chrisossu20707 жыл бұрын
According to some, the demo is a poor representation of the overall game due to it covering what's considered one of the weaker sections. It's actually more recommended to pick the game up cheap and dive into it blind if you're curious.

I feel that this could have been a full on review. I feel like dont skips should be a minute or two only. Great vid though L & R
@andrewchalmers5057 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. But if you don't mind me asking, what's the point of a "Don't Skip"? I mean, the video is over 6 minutes long. Why not just slap a score on it and call it a review? In my opinion, a "Don't Skip" should be a short form piece. Less than 2 or 3 minutes (shorter if possible). Basically a video you put together to highlight a game that people may have overlooked, and you don't have time/resources to review it. But at over 6 minutes, I can't help but feel that this is basically a review (as a point of comparison, Mario Odyssey has a 6:05 review). And if the video is long, like a review length video, I am less likely to watch it - as I usually only watch a review if I'm actually interested in the game. For a game that's unheard of, I would be more likely to click on the video if it's a quick summary on why it's so great. That's just my opinion anyway.

That is exactly what they are. They explain them in the first Don't skip I think.

But why not the 5 min extra work to come up with a score and WHAM. Another review :) I mean the quality is great, the writing is good. Feels kinda like a waste to not make this a review you know what I mean?
@jackoblllllllll5 жыл бұрын
@@FreeDoM_nl why do you need a score? do you not understand words? can't you decide on your own? use your brain, it's called "don't skip", that might give you a hint.
@BB0ysGames3 жыл бұрын
Why do you need a score? Some games have different themes and characters, score ruins all games because it deceives your view on the game.
@ArtumTsumia5 жыл бұрын
A title that I wanted to pick up since it sounded interesting, but the disjointed style of the game was something of a turn off. Still something that I'd like to check out, but it lacked that something that swung me to actually playing it.
@deathproof87325 жыл бұрын
All the words you are saying dont go with the image on the screen. You did not help my brain wrap around what this is. I like the art and music but I cant stand weird and bizarre David Lynch type shit and thats what this sounds like the way you explain it. I might buy it anyway because it reminds me of snatcher but I doubt the story is as straight forward.....Im confused, intrigued and repulsed all at the same time.
@Kapenguin4487 жыл бұрын
I love Suda51's work, but this game bored me to death. None of the characters stand out from each other, and each chapter's story just wanders around with almost no sense of direction. By the time I got to the very end, I was so checked out that the supposed "payoff" didn't mean anything to me. This game is the purest example of style over substance. But I give it a little slack because I know it was Suda's first major directing gig. He would later make great strides in this surreal chapter-based storytelling in the masterpiece that is Killer7.

Did you play the placebo chapters as well? They clarify the Transmitter chapters so you can understand them better and also build on them and explore aspects the main chapter didn't.
