I was fortunate to catch Nek! live, pronounced Neh-key (as they had a play on logo by inverting the i into an !), in a small little club in Tokyo called "Sunrize". They were one of 5 bands playing that night. They killed it. Kanade is a killer bassist. That was a great two night event for me. Caught Band-Maid on Sunday night and Nek! on Monday night. They are definitely a band to keep and eye on. They have caught the eye of many Maidiacs, as they have done Band-Maid covers. Keep on rocking GOT Games! Your energy is always so good. Check this bro - I will land in Japan just before midnight on Nov 23, then I will see NEK! on Nov 24, Band-Maid on Nov 25, Band-Maid (again) on Nov 26, East of Eden on Nov 29, and Nakigoto on Nov 30, then fly home on Dec 1. Living my best life over here. P. S. check out Polkadot Stingray (Rideau and Jo-Deki). Super funky. They are playing on Nov 23 the day I land in Japan, but in the wrong city, so I'll miss that show unfortunately... 😕. To your point, SO much talent and good music in Japan 🇯🇵.

Bassist is Kanade, she can slap for sure! She had gotten into finals, when LoveBites were looking for bassist, but she was fifteen at that time, so they couldn't accept her. Actually they r all pretty young, probably just 17-18 years old by now. Band Maid fans call NEKI a little sister of Band Maid, it shows how much expectations ppl have from the band. I like them a lot as well, they r cool and fun to listen/ watch 👍 Also I'm still waiting your reaction to HAGANE, the band JUNNA has joined, they're also great and got the momentum with their renewed line up!

They have only been together for around 7 months now and got together because they found each other on SNS. They are backed by Pony Canyon or one of their subsidiaries and will be doing their first one mans this fall. With all of them being between 16 and 24 if they can stick together, they have a very long career ahead of them.

The bass player might be doing backing vocals. They have several shorts of them sing and in one of them I'm pretty sure the bass player was singing as well. I don't think it was for Maze, but if she was doing some backing vocals in that one, good chance she might be doing it for this one.
