Great video/content! Thanks for the advice! Here are the 7 tips for you all!! Keep on creating! You got this! 1. Don't upload too many videos. (Quality over quantity). 2. Don't promote content as spam. (Provide Value). 3. Don't rely on ad revenue for your income. (Make it your side hustle first). 4. Don't chase trending topics. (Find trends that fit your niche). 5. Don't create only for yourself and not your audience. (At least not too often. 80/20 rule works best at first). 6. Don't be too proud of yourself. (Always be moving and pushing forward. We are our best competition). 7. Don't expect results from doing the same thing over and over again. (Don't get stuck in the trap of not evolving your content and yourself). I know this vid is a year old but just wanted to take the time to say thanks for some great content. I'm about two months in to this YT journey now with my channel (metal detecting, treasure hunting niche) and have been applying very similar steps - weekly upload, not burning out too fast or bombarding everyone I know with my content. Good tips! I'm starting two channels now. One for my daughter Lily and one for me. Always wanted to but never took the time to learn basic filming and editing skills until now. Thank you! You hit on some great points. The different schools of thought can get a bit overwhelming. I feel I bit myself on on my own ass due to the fact I've had my channel up for nearly 5 years, but the content was only for the viewing of my personal training clients and friends to watch. Now I've completely revamped the channel and slowly but surely gaining traction by campaigning my content and finding ways to improve in any little area. Hey Jeven, seems like sound advice and very useful as I plan to start posting content later this year. For the next few months I'm experimenting with combinations of my gear to see what works well for me. On that count some of your other videos have proven helpful as well. One thing in this one has me very curious. What are you doing when you reach toward the camera and appear to adjust something on or near the lens? Are you rotating a CPL or variable ND to adjust exposure?
