Well first they are trying to protect their egg so in the day when they wake up they walk around making sure there are no intruders, but only in a certain area. And at night the sleep on top of it's egg to keep it warm and safe. Two is that you just killed a parent. Now the baby has no parent and will die. Three is that he knows that you're gonna turn that baby into bacon and eggs. So that's why you get naughtiness when you kill one.

You know this is what I love about Don't Starve is I always learn something new or get new ideas by seeing someone do something. Never really considered the fire farm method and generally try to avoid using glitches but with that said being the percent chance is only 1% for the krampus sack I'm kinda leaning toward trying it for laughs and giggles. If I use a method that seems to easy and convenient my conscience steps in and I feel bad and then I don't wanna use it cause I feel like a dirty spooder bro. Huh...I always did the poor man's version. Catch a bird, wait till I'm 2 naughtiness points from getting Krampus to spawn, then make a save point via Save & Quit. If the Krampus doesn't drop the sack, I force exit the game and try again. Still a pain with that drop rate...

Thanks Vlox for the video! Few things I should mention: 1. You do NOT need to go to ROG to SW and vice versa to get the max out of your doydoys. Simply going to the caves/ volcano with your doydoys is enough. 2. You can kill glommer twice during 1 full moon cycle without glitches. kill glommer the first night and wait for the second night to reappear. He will be there again and you can kill him or pick his flower if you want him to be an ally. 3. The fastest way to get krampus without glommer and with glitches is to use the classic pig/ bunnymen fire farm. Wear scalemail and use a ham bat to kill the pigs / bunnies quickly. 4. Killing seal adds 50 points. Just wanted to throw that out. 5. Krampus goes to sleep during the night if he is not aggrod to anything. Use this to your advantage and kill him with a dark sword / cutlass before he hits you again. It also takes 2 blasts from an ice staff to freeze him and 1 sleep dart to put him to sleep. 6. If your playing Wes or Wendy you can't kill birds with a boomerang in 1 hit. However, you can freeze birds in 1 hit and kill them with a spear/ ham bat easily. Just a little more expensive. Anyways, thanks Vlox if you read this. Nice tutorial! Will you do one on coffee next?

I mean I know this video was made before winters feast was introduced but klaus has a 10% chance to drop a krampus sack in one of the gifts. Combined with the fact he can summon 2 krampus during the fight means that you will typically get one every 8-9 klaus kills.

Okay, so a lot of people end up messing up the facts with backpacks + rain. All containers have waterproof inventories, but the backpack itself can become wet. The Krampus sack and the Piggyback don't get wet, period, so you don't have to worry about the wet item sanity loss. Other than that, good video. I'd suggest using the Krampus Fire Farm during Winter, as nights are longer.

The first run I had on don't starve on the Vita was amazing, got to day 93, found Webber's skull, beat adventure mode, used the teleportato to go to a new world, got Krampus Sack on his first spawn, and died to the moose/goose, had a pretty bad ending but was an amazing run.

I just got mt krampus sack after 550 days, after 5 farming days in a row haha and wanted to share some experiences. We all know 3 ways of farming that demon: Wickerbottom books, glommer and feather hats. I don't know any other way. Wickerbottom in not an option for everyone, and glommer only happens every 20 days. So I will only care about feather hat usage. Krampus will spawn after killing 16 - 25 birds (correct me of I'm wrong). Go for red/snow birds, otherwise the amount of bords will be the double. Red/snow birds spawn in grass turf, so be in a area with that kind of floor. Grab a backpack full of boomerangs, put your feather hat (not hard to get at all) and - the icing on the cake - put a seed in the ground. Happens that the birds will amass in the seeds, and every second they will be coming down! Before I figured that out by accident, I could spawn one wave of krampii per day (4 demons). With the seed method, I duplicated that. I am not sure, but I think that in a season like autumm we can triplicate it! Afer 5 days, I got tons of morsels (eeeeeggs) and crimson feathers (asheeeees LOL) and the ol krampus sack. Feelsgoodman. Thank you all and I hope I have helped the community

For people who don’t want to have to do all this an alternative is to wear a piggy back and tame a beefalo the piggyback has no side effects when riding a beefalo. Yes you might be losing some inventory space but for newer players this is a great solution.

If your not Maxwell or Wickerbottom, I would recommend the butterfly farm or glommer kill. Both of these tactics are good for getting krampus, but here comes the downsides. 1: if you don't do the glommer glich, then glommer will respawn each full moon, but destroying the statue will cause him to not respawn anymore. The butterfly farm can you butter, but if you made it just for krampus to spawn, then it will take a while, also never make the farm near your base, or else krampus will still you stuff. Edit: If you don't have ROG, do the butterfly farm. Just kill 50 butterflys, right?
