For anyone curious, lightning rods have a radius of 7 pitchfork tiles in all directions. That means you can put lightning rods every 14 pitchfork tiles, but hey. You can never be too safe

This is alot of info to take in as a new player to shipwrecked but I find this very helpful and unlike some other videos for tips in shipwrecked that I've seen, this one gets to simple things that are needed and to the more complicated question mainly on new stuff in shipwrecked that every player needs to know to get a good base. In the end this was very good and I'm glad there are videos like this to help player like myself that are new to the shipwrecked scene.

Great video, I've been playing for about 5 months but hardly creep into shipwrecked due to my computer not handling the fps well at all during hurricane season, but now that the switch version is out I'm diving in and your content is very well put together and informative. Hey volx I love these videos and have been a subscriber for a while now and I'd like to request a tutorial video on raising tallbirds. It's so hard in the later game because of all the hounds and the tallbird won't go near you if you leave your island on shipwrecked so please do a tutorial on tallbirds and you can mash it up with dodos too!!! Thumbs up!

Advanced trick to stop the puddles taking over your base - you can stop a puddle from expanding by putting a sand bag right in the middle of it. Catch it early, and that trick can save you.

I've already survived a full year, but I didn't know about the turf thing, that sounds REALLY useful lol Since I squish everything I own into a small area, adding sandbags makes moving around a huge pain xD Another tip that would have been useful for newbies, is for the Dry Season. If the ground shakes x3, flee your base onto a boat and sail around in the deeper waters away from your island until the 4th shaking is done. Keep very careful count, you should be preparing to leave after the 2nd shaking. I hate the Dry Season...

I am doing a mega base world with my boy Webber and at some point I'd like to connect it with SW so this video will for sure help me immensely as far as what resources to have from ROG and which ones to focus on as well as generally be ready for each of the seasons. Thanks for doing these tutorial videos. I know they must take a while to set up for each topic you want to talk about and I appreciate you taking the time to do it. volxLOVE I loved the volxGASM emote making a scrolling appearance for the cooking segment.
