I have a tip: remember the plant things? Yeah, if you fully upgrade them (untill they no longer move) killing it gives something special, drying that something special on a drying rack gives a stocking stick, 33% increased movement speed when held, but has durability. Might help out to have one. Please correct me in the reply’s section if im wrong. I dont want to give false information. edit: also try getting a non-guard pig to eat some food, they will drop some poop, pick it up and they will pay you (i don’t understand either)

CC's Quick Tips: 1. You can get cloth by going to the second pig island and buying it there. To get to the second pig island that has the bigger pig city with the palace you'll have to find a ruin in the jungle biome that has a pig holding a staff or stick on top of the door. You can also get your first cloth piece by making a hammer and hammering the balloon. This is one time obviously, but will get you started. 2. Pith hat is okay. It will protect you from the fog slowing you down, but you won't be able to see. If you can get a bat wing from one of the "hound" waves the bat hat (I forgot the exact name. It's at the alchemy machine and takes a bat wing and a compass I think.) will protect you from the slow and let you see through the fog. 3. The rocks that you flip up don't seem to ever respawn so I just like to hammer them so I can see on the map what ones I haven't grabbed. Figured I'd lead with some tips, but I also wanted to say I fell in love with your channel thanks to the Shipwrecked guides. I almost survived my first year and came so so close to unlocking Woodlegs at long last. I did manage to get WIlbur though and I have another attempt in the works. Thanks so much for the awesome guides. I hope I can pay you back a tiny tiny fraction of how much you helped me Not Starve. Good luck!

great job beard!! the only thing i needed to say was that you can pick the thunderbird nests for iron, and for the pith hat(hat for humid) you can get cloth much easier in the early game by hammering the big balloon you spawn next to! i think later on you can buy cloth at shops at diff islands

Some little tips ig - Buy a house, it's a safe base with a free light source - Get shears to chop the hedges in the Hamlet & sell for easy money - Kill a Snaptooth & get the stalk from it & hang the stalk on the drying rack for the Stalking Stick (Hamlet's Walking Cane) - Get cloth for the Pithhat for the fog (you can smash the basket thingy where you spawned for free cloth) - Try to get snatched by the BFB at some point to get the egg that hatches Ro Bin

I like the format, pretty easy to consume. So, that one tree dropped Iron because a piko stole it from the iron field nearby, but it also looked like it was a peculiar tree (purple-ish color). If you inspect them with a magnifying glass and the character confirms something was hiding there, upon shoveling the last log (or mining visages after chiseling too) it'll give you something extra (one relic or one trinket each are the outcomes I've had before, not sure if there's more to it). It's little, but it's free money so maybe you want to save peculiar structures for when you make a magnifying glass. Very good start overall, Wilba's perks are really useful. Also, exotic flowers come back in random places on wild turfs, but it might be only when temperate season comes around (so they can spawn more flies until humid season). That's how you get flowers back without bees, but it would be good to get some butterflies if you spot them (honestly I haven't seen any in my worlds, but I saw them on videos before)

Tip's Hammer the balloon to get cloth and make a bandit trap just in case you encounter a bandit Pig, they show up if you have a large amount of money with you or if you just have money in general And make and make shears you can trim hedges and Long Grass you can turn the clippings in for money you can do the same for berries good luck and have a good time beard.

Generally you’re going to want to base around your house/slanty shanty. You’re immune to wetness, darkness, lightning can’t destroy the stuff in it, and enemies can’t break into it. On top of that you get a constant sanity gain while inside of it. Also, build a drying rack and kill one of the adult snaptooth enemies. You can grow them by feeding them meat, and they don’t gang up on you. Once it’s an adult it drops an item that when dried turns into an equivalent walking cane.

You don’t need the pith hat as long as you have nothing in the backpack equip region Also there are shops on one of the other islands that you can’t find on the first. Example: living logs can only be bought in the arcane shop and boss drops from the hunting shop

a great tip: you want to find the "ends well" as soon as possible as it is a great way to get purple gems which can be sold for lots of oinks, to find it you need to go through the toxic forest and find the ruins with the herald statue on the top, go through until you find the exit leading to the third island and find another ruins entrance with the herald statue, it should look like a wishing well but the water is black, anything you drop into the well will spawn a nightmare creature exept nightmare fuel which will give you purple gems. you can also find the aporkalypse calender in there just sayin'

It's one swarm per mound, you can wait for them to leave and mine it. It can also give you a piece of iron or two. If you destroy them, the gnat swarm will start building another one somewhere else, but if you like their location it's better to mine it 4 times to leave the last level so they can fix it, instead of the 6 times to destroy it.

@ShadowKhan42 Why would you do that with an easy source of rock, flint and iron though? I never kill gnats if I can help it, and I don't break the mound if I need to kill them until it spawns more. Until you link worlds it sucks to get a lot of rocks to craft stuff and build cities, compared to the other methods the mounds are really useful.

Some trees are different! Like the one that droped iron for you, examine it to see if its different, if the examine is different chop/burn the tree and if you dont get anything, shovel the stump you can get really good things such as relics, iron or gems! And speaking of gems you can sell them to the bank, except for purple ones

You’ll better start to digging nettle vines in the jungle. Plant them on the jungle turf and next to water. You’ll need a sprinkler to grow them. They are great food in general and they’ll protect you from hay fever in lush season. After that, make a gas mask for the poisonous gas in deep jungle. You’ll need to go in to the herald ruins1 to get to the herald island. In that island you’ll find herald ruin2. Inside the herald ruin2, there’s a cylinder that you’ll need it to stop the aporcalypse. You don’t want the aporcalypse to happen if you’re not ready.

(Edit): You can get your first bit of cloth by going back to the balloon you crashed in with (spawn location) and hammering the balloon. From all the stuff there, you'll get a piece of cloth, a razer, a bathtub plug, and I think sand (might be wrong on the last one). Getting your house should be a priority, as that is full protection from all elements, houses all your important machines (even fires!), and will give you sanity just from staying inside it. I always have a small base of sorts (berry bushes, farms, etc.) just outside my house and then lots of resources just outside/beside the town. The town is the BEST place to stay when the bat hordes come, especially when you're getting a dozen or more at a time. The guards will fight the bats, though do NOT do this if the bats come at night. The guards will fight with their torches, will light the bats on fire, and the bats will end up burning everything down if you're not careful. Once you lose your house to fire, that's it until you can get to the palace on the second island and get the 'Key to the City' which will let you build whatever building you want in town (houses, shops, etc.). But, otherwise, you lose everything if the house is burned down. You'll want to work toward getting a smelter so you can create a fan for your house for the lush season, where you'll be sneezing approximately every minute or so. The fan will keep the allergies at bay. Each sneeze will lose about 5 sanity and make you drop a few things. Gas masks are okay in an emergency, but they drain your sanity while wearing them. The best way is to have the fan set up ASAP in your home and do a lot of back-and-forth during that particular season. Go out and come back to get rid of the allergies. The best way to earn money, in the beginning, is to give the pig men with the green vests berries once a day. They'll give you 3-4 oinks (coins) in exchange. Relics are really good as they get you 10 oinks each. Gems are good too, but make sure to keep a red one for your fan. I can often get a house by day two or three, depending on what I find. You can give flower petals to the ladies in the blue dress and hat for 1 oink each (I only pick exotic flowers which spawn bugs instead of butterflies). Your best bets are the berries and the relics. You can buy additional berries for 1 oink at the grocer (marked with a carrot) and sell them for the 4 oinks. Easy money! I've even done the Aporkalypse part of the game, which was VERY challenging! It's always awesome to see you trying newer things! I dont know much about hamlet but around day 11 or so you gonna find a huge bird flying above, try to get its attention and get swallowd by it (wich is a good thing, but remenber to take a torch and a pickaxe with you), but if you get hit by its feet you gonna die. Btw mining those iron parts gets you iron (but it may be dangreous) and mining the gnat nests also get you iron, and if i m not wrong the gnat nests will be repaired by gnats themselves as long as you dont completely destroye them, making a razor and shaving the hedges is nice since the hedges regrow and the grass u get from them can be sold infinitely for one oinc each, you can also eat it for healing and it doesnt rot, you can also make shear using iron to get doubled loot from the hedges and tall grass, also there are 2 cities, the second one being after a cave. There s a season where u gonna starting sneezing and stuff, i dont know a definitely cure for it but you can eat the tea tree seeds to stop its effects for some time and i highly recommend farming a lot of tea trees themselves since they give you wood, twigs, tea tree seeds and pikos (those dumb annoying squirrel like creatures), the flip stones do not respawn so i recommend mining them for goodies, btwwww try killing those dung beetles since they are not aggresive and their dung will give you things like rock, flint, grass, bone and obviously poop, if im not wrong they spawn from those big poop piles and you can scavenge the poop pile themselves but it drains your sanity and i dont know if they respawn and always pick poop on the streets and citizens will give you free oincs, be awere of bandits, they are very annoying and will drop your money but if you manage to kill them you will get their treasure, and you can replant cork, the recipe is on the refine tab. Thats what i know about hamlet and im very sorry for my horrible english, it is not my first language and im sorry if any info that i gave you is wrong or outdated.

Being werepig on a fullmoon is mostly benneficial, because it lasts only one nights (you won't get starved) and you refill all your HP in the start and in the end of transformation. You can defeat some strong units by tanking, knowing that you'll get full health in the "morning". It also great to eat 2 monster meat to become werepig for a 24 hours, you only need 4x daily food supply Great for travelling in riuns, because you have night vision.

I dont like basing near the pig guards because during the night they use torches and if a bat wave comes they are going to burn everything... sometimes you see that happen at dusk when a guard is near lots of grass and fights weevoles... kinda dangerous

oh fog season is called humid season btw in my opinion you should craft a cowl because it negates the fog movement speed reduction as well as giving you night vision really usefull in exploring the ancient pig ruins

Keep cutting hedge in the garden of city with sear (you can do it with razor but you only got 1 for it) then sell it to the pig, pick their poop also give you some money, relic are the best source of money so go ahead to jungle or anywhere to find some of it. When you get about 50 oincs (if i not mistaken) you can buy a house, you can also expand the house btw! Welp, that the tips you might want to know. Ok heres a rundown for the hay fever your best bet is to go for an ocillating fan because that gives you more time to do stuff but one down side is you would have to stay at base most of the time but if you can get nettle growing in time then fine

In my opinion I think that landing a base in the town of pigs at the slant shanty it’s a house you can buy for fifty pinks at the mayors office you can also buy protection as well I think there’s a time limit on how long they stay with you but I’m unsure on the time. the flip rocks are 1 time flip and you mine them, nothing else. they don't re-flip. you will want to base NEAR the pig village, for when bats spawn you can have the gaurds kill them and if any gaurds die from later bat spawns you can get their stuff. also you will want to make shears with iron and cut shrubbery in the pig village, you will get 2 clippings per clip and you give them to the blonde haired pig and you get 1 oinc per clipping you give her. also pick up crap in the village, you get 1 oinc from a villager everytime you pick one up and they are a good source of crap you will need drying racks to get the stalking stick, basically it is a walking cane but with more speed boost but a durability loss on it. you get the stalks from killing a level 3 snaptooth (the venus flytrap monsters, and you identift lv 3 by when it is rooted) and you dry the stalk and it will turn into a stalking stick you can get some cloth by hammering 1 of the structures from your "crash" where you spawned in your world you are gonna want to start preparing for some ruin runs to get to the aporkalypse calander before day 52? (it is somewhere around that day) you will need gunpowder/explosives to open cracks in walls because the calendar is in a specific ruin behind 1 of the cracked walls in it, in the jungle you will find a ruin with the ancient herald on top of it, you will need to go through it till the exit and it will let you out onto a island that has the ruins that the aporkalypse calendar on it. ALSO SOON you will see the BFG, take him away from your base and try to make him land on pig city biome to instantly make him leave, OR you can let him eat you (stand under his mouth) he will take you to his nest where you can get ro shim bo egg (chester hamlet version) you will need to do some mining and stuff to get out and the exit MIGHT NOT put you on your OG island (there is 5 islands total and you spawn on island 1 and the ruins have exits to other islands that are different depending on what statue is at the top of the ruins entrance)

Around day 11 or 12 make sure you have food, full health, anti venom, and something to keep yourself cool. You’ll understand why. Everything else you need will be in the Pig hamlets as they aren’t really available. As for base locations I make them near the pig hamlets since it’s fairly safe, well lit , and you can use the buildings for shelter. You can also pick up poop in town for Money, or give them the items they want for more money.

probably too late for you to see this, but I suggest: Pick Flowers, Drop Flowers near pig, feed pig 4 monster meat, watch were-pig turn all the flower petals into poop. Better fertilizer; you won't have to refertilize for a longer time. But erm... not in Hamlet, I think :} regular game

I haven’t played hamlet but I suggest you should play as WX-78 cuz he can use those spare gears that you have and add his upgrades... he also can withstand lightning BUT you might need an umbrella

you can hammer your baloon and other stuff near it to obtain a cloth (also some other stuff) and you can buy a house for 50 and get rooms for 10 so why building farm from city ?(your house is going to be the one that is really old looking and broken one and decorations takes to much money)

My first impression as an avid The Beard youtube viewer: 1- Your content is fire, I love it. 2- Questioning viewers about the game is fine. 3- One suggestion though, if you could stop questioning your content in terms of quality, even if it's your first let's play, your content is FIRE, you questioning yourself several times in the video if you're doing OK or not is just annoying more than anything else, keep that "I'm gonna make a guide video" confident Beard and you'll do fine.
