It would be so cool if a Winona could use any of her machines even if she doesn't have them unlocked. Then you could get like 2-3 players with different skill trees active and have every single kind of Winona building that a single player can activate by themselves. So if you build a machine like the telepad and then respec your points by using the idol on the moon portal, you could come back in with something else like better catapults or generators and build off of that, eventually having every single device in the world at once but not needing multiple players or a specific skill tree to activate it. Because think about it, unless you have a moon rock/purple gem farm switching characters is kind of a tedious task, especially if your celestial orb hasn't dropped yet like 30+ days in.

I don’t know how deep you guys are into development, but I think this really would be a great opportunity to give Winona the option to either craft the usual dragonfly furnace or use blue gems (or iredescant) and create a infinite cooling „station“ instead. (A cold dragonfly furnace)

I always thought it would be cool if the crab king gave slightly better loot depending on what gems you put in him (depending on how harder they make the fight). It might get people to try different combinations instead of the easiest one. Just a thought though.

I feel like a good idea for wurt would be giving her more crafts when the king is built like for example giving her a throne that she sits on thats carried by 4 merms that she can speed through the map like a beeflo just for mobility reasons and also like a big merm thats about the size of the king but uses a tentacle spike spear and can slam the ground for a aoe spike attack that has a cannon on its back that shoots fish! Stuff like that is what I want for wurt!!

the moment they said "ancient" my heart jumped for "key" to unlock the shell chests but i am cool with trees as well! that purple one for sure will be a nice addition to swamps and the lava one would be lovely in the dfly desert if it has some sort of heat resistance

Glowberries only hurt sanity to eat normally, so Warly's glowberry mousse was never too impactful. But these fruit seem like they'll hurt your health to eat, so maybe that will incentivize cooking them instead? Still seems a bit niche though, to have to grow a tedious tree from the ocean just to get... light?

@@zeeb2190 That makes sense in theory, but the problem is that if players wanted a good long lasting 'light' source (sight source?), a lot of people will still just rely on a dwarf star instead. There's not too many situations outside of bosses where light is that important while having a free head slot for armor, and a lot of people still avoid ocean content like the plague. I can only hope those berries don't spoil quickly, or else they'll be harder to justify using. I guess they could be helpful if a random hound wave comes at night and you have to leave base

For the telepad, I understand it being Winona-specific, but I'd love the area teleport you mentioned so it's still got that team interaction. Maybe all telepads can blink a specific color if someone's standing on any, so you know if someone's waiting for a teleport and Winona can activate it to send/recall them?

I'm really hopeful for the building change they mentioned. One of the biggest annoyances for practically a decade now is that you *need* to place down crockpots first, then ice boxes. If you made the mistake of placing an ice box first, the strict placement for crockpots means you'd need to space them far away from the ice boxes, as opposed to being able to get them very close to the ice box if you placed the crockpots first.

That alone will make Winona _way_ better, because you're no longer tethered to a base or a few pre-crafted items, you can now pack them up and move them at will, _plus_ a pre-fuelled generator!

Honestly yeah I have never noticed a lack of merm spawning other than what? Winter? Make the offering thing fill up with items we can come collect or something. Some kind of communal food trough would be dope so we could come home, eat to refuel at our merm base, and then head out. Or maybe a mass recruitment thing, like upgrade the offering pit with a horn, and you toot the horn to gather all within range.
