I played this song during one of my band concerts in 6th grade and in that same year a girl from my school, Ciara Smith, was killed in an accident. A bus hit her when she was trying to cross the street on her bike. She was only 13 years old when she died. I didn't get to know her, but I had a few friends who knew her. So a few weeks before my band concert, my band teacher decided to play Don't Stop Believing in memory for Ciara Smith. Once every band played their songs, every band got up and played this song. I have no idea how to express how much emotion I felt playing this song for Ciara. All I remember is everyone crying in the gym once we played that last note. So now I keep coming back to this video as a sophomore and tear up every time I listen to this. Rest In Peace, Ciara Smith.
