No more soy. No body should eat it or drink it. No sugar. No corn. There is a book called "beating cancer with nutrition" not sure if there is an updated version but it might have some good info. Good luck. Go to well educated natural health food store. Lots of options.

After reading th DLG book and listening to Dr. Livingood was when I learned about the issues with soy. And when I saw Herbalife main ingredients was SOY I got very worried. How are they even allowed to sell? It is so popular. I thought it was good 😢

72 yo male here. I used to take combo magnesium-calcium supplements 10 years ago. Stopped the calcium after learning calcium was counterproductive. Now, I just take a multivitamin, magnesium, C, and very recently D3. Bloodwork indicated a D deficiency. Will be adding K2, after doing more research on how D3 and K2 work.

I am glad to have seen this. I am 67 and have osteoporosis. My doctor told me that I needed 1200 mg of calcium a day but the one I found had soy in it plus calcium in all forms tends to constipate me. I found a D3 with olive oil instead of soy oil and am taking that instead of calcium. I will check out your D3 + K2 formula.

I am glad I don’t take any of the supplements you caution against taking! Back in my early 50s I read a book about peri menopause and menopause. The doctor who wrote the book explained that calcium supplements are not necessarily good to take and the recommended ratio of calcium to magnesium intake is reversed from what it should be. It should be a higher amount of magnesium over calcium. So I have not supplemented with calcium since then. I finished menopause when I was 52. I am 68 years old now and my bones are strong. I am grateful I read that book so I didn’t fall for the much pushed idea that women in their 50s need to take calcium supplements.

Great advice. I also use every opportunity to tell people to avoid vitamin B6 supplementation, in both its known toxicity form, pyridoxine hydrochloride, but also in its supposedly safer form, P5P, as individuals are reporting peripheral neuropathy from both. B6 is easily found in food and that’s all we need.

I'm still on iron. I take Ferritin 325mg every day. My ferritin level was a 2. I've had a blood transfusion in the past and earlier this year I had an infusion of iron or ferritin. I was advised that I no longer need to take ferritin but shortly after I had the infusion I started having my period. My periods are heavy and I am 53 and no end is in sight. I was on blood thinners and would basically bleed out every month. In May I had 15 inches of my colon removed as they found a non cancerous mass and they thought this was why I have been anemic. Right now I have been bleeding almost 2 1/2 months. That's why I'm continuing to take iron. Any suggestions?

I’ve looked everywhere for an answer for this…I wanted to take a good krill oil supplement for the omega 3 benefits and all it benefits. I take 10mg per day of Eliquis for two years now as I had Tavr then. I’m doing fine and do not have any bruising or bleeding issues. I’ve heard krill oil is absorbed better than fish oil. One article said the slowing of blood clotting can be caused by krill oil but rare. I was going to try, though more expensive, the Verified Research brand which has the recommended levels of EPA and DHA. I would love your opinion. I want to take the krill oil for all its benefits. I’m a 72 year old female. I currently take the K2 with D3 suggested by you. I stopped taking calcium supplements at least a year ago. Can you help me?
