Yes, this is 100% true! Its hard to admit that your not getting the same energy and commitment back and it hurts. I just ended it with someone I care for deeply but he only wanted to text at the very end of the day, like I was an afterthought. He would profess his feelings and how much he misses me on weekends, wants to see me, call me...stood me up all but a few times. I hung on in the hopes he would follow through on his promises. I guess im a fool for that...We do work together so it will be hard for me, but ill get over him eventually. To those of you who still cling to hope like I did, if hes not meeting you at least halfway, he is not worthy of you. The promises are empty, and you are worth so much more ❤
