I totally agree; it always work. I was cut out of a program because I was late but the instructors requested for me to come back. The reason for this is because I sent them a personal message of thanks and nobody has never done this before. This principle is powerful.

Ciao Tai, I am the italian oil painter living in Tokyo, you might remember about me we exchanged a couple of messages on Instagram recently. Six years ago I had several opportunities of meeting and becoming acquainted with the founder and CEO of a company (in Tokyo) with more than 10.000 employees, and then for his birthday I gave him a painting. He truly liked it and we became very good friends since. I did not make business directly with him, but he kept me inviting to dinners (he still does nowadays!) where I have been meeting so many influential people!

+Matteo Ceccarini the kindest gift that anyone ever made me was a painting of my Border Collie, Sage. My coworker gave me the painting a few days after Sage passed away... I cried like a baby... and I'm not outwardly emotional. I've been encouraging my friend's secret passion for painting for years, but she wads too modest. I remembered her saying that she had issues with her easel falling apart, and I knew she was having rough financial times. I wanted to do something super kind for her and encourage her, so I bought her and easel and assembled it. I put a hot pink bow on it (Sage's signature color and accessory) and surprised her at work. She cried her eyes out, it was truly a beautiful moment. Eventually a version of her painting will be on the side of the 'Sage Grooming' van. Nothing can ever surpass a gift that someone made with their hands, its an extension of someone's soul.

Arika Bush Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience. Actually, what you talk about is the reason that played a strong influence on me in deciding - many years ago - to become an oil painter. I have always enjoyed painting for the sake of beauty and harmony, but the most meaningful moments were those when, gifting my paintings, I understood I was able to deeply move my dear ones with them.

Nice one Tai. So many people fall away from the core principles that create success in search for some secret. The primary tools you summon at will, patience, forgiveness, kindness, encouragement, attention, flexibility, love, compassion, empathy... Be Humble, move in the world the way you want the world to be. Give big and you'll find others that give big and quickly identify the takers too (give small and you may never know who's who). Team up with doers, givers and creators. Master the basics and be a person you would look up to. BE DO HAVE.

Sadly I was once a bully, I had a hard childhood and took it out on kids for my own ego. I used to think nothing of it, until one day a small kid, stood up walked over to me and punched me in the jaw. Broke my jaw and ruined my back teeth but it was worth it, it taught me the lesson this video preaches. I became absolutely humble and respectful to everybody I met. I didn't even hold a grudge against the kid who hit me. I respected him for it, and he realized the u-turn my attitude had taken, we are now great friends and business partners. Thanks for these videos Tai.

I had a great sales position in West Palm Beach last year. The owner became a mentor, but I pissed off one of his sales managers and was canned. Learned my lesson. An important looking man once came into my work place for coffee. He was on his phone (business call) and trying to order but eventually hung up and said, "kinda hard to multitask when I'm tired." I replied with sun tzu, "A man who chases two rabbits, gets none." He stuck around till the crowd died down and gave me his card. We now email each other quotes, book suggestions, and advice. Was invited to Thanksgiving. ;-)

Matthew Smith Not necessarily. Do you believe that a disciplinary smack is the same as relentlessly and cruelly beating children for no reason?
@matts37299 жыл бұрын
Brickinasock Obviously they're not the same in degree of severity, but I do believe it is wrong to hit children whether your intention is to instill discipline (doesn't work) or just because you're abusive and cruel.
@Brickinasock9 жыл бұрын
Good. I am a fan of more constructive punishment anyway, such as chores, however what do people do when reasoning fails? They go to war. Hence the physical violence. There's no need to wage war on kids, but what happens when an undisciplined kid, or human in general ends up being punched by Tai's bodyguard? There's a huge net loss that could have been avoided in the first place with a little discipline.

In 6th grade a kid was always picking on me, I was bigger, had anger issues, and I was unaware of my own strength. One day he picked on me because of my hair and when I gave him a warning, not a threat, he gave a smart remark back and I punched him. That was something I regret but also gave me alliances with other students. I was taught of my own strength, how some people never change, and seeking for advice I found Tai Lopez, others who disliked that kid became my friends, but those who picked on him I try my hardest to help the kid I hit that day, he does not thank me when I help him with the bullies because he knows I am trying to make up for what I did.

Bonjour Tai, I think it's ironic you mention this eastern old philosophy and wisdom that has transitioned to the west. I applied in my life a year ago in particular to a restauranteur and owner while striking conversation with him one day in aid of a job. He said he wouldn't be able to pay me what I'm worth because a person who never stops learning only increases their own value never endingly. I went to his restaurant a few times afterwards over the course of a few months where when he saw me on camera he kept coming out to talk to me and we would discuss various things about life, business, entrepreneurship., etc. I decided to write him a card before he went on vacation (which he told me about) thanking him for all of the stories and wisdom he shared with me. A year later we're going into business together because I did to him what I would have others do to me.

Good advice though not always applicable. There are people who go out of their way to pick fights with others for no reason, such as bullies. Then there are the sneaky “haters” who smile in your face than stab you in the back. Everyone wears a mask these days, especially the backstabbers. Kindness is not always reciprocated either. On the East Coast, people are generally harsh, cold hearted, hardcore, or cutthroat (just like in movies or worse). So maybe Tai’s advice applies more to Californians even though it should apply to all States and the rest of the world... I mean, wouldnt that be nice, being treated by others precisely how you treat them?! It’s unrealistic. And whatever happened to kicking a bully right in the nut sac then hoping you’re a good sprinter?
@singhmaster46 жыл бұрын
You got that right. My whole life experience in Cali has taught me to be on my toes than be a nice giving person. I got nothing but backstabbing from the streets. Fake pussy cowards trying to act like they are real. They will step on whichever side is benifical. But it also depends on your circle.

Wow man your very inspirational. Your right the golden rule goes very far. But the one thing I took from this that I think is so important is to watch who you hang out with. We use a group message app, posted "time to hit it up" I would go exercise in the morning knowing my coach has been doing the same. found some common ground with him and he asked me to join him. It's never to late to learn from Tai's advice, and one day you can provide back to yourself and show your parents their hard work was well worth the effort!

His parents never made money, his dad was in jail. I'm not saying he doesn't come from a somewhat privileged background, but you can tell with his level of authentic education that he's hustled his way here, and by hustle I mean hard work on his self.

I find myself watching people who are acting out and looking for a fight - What do these people do for work? Inevitably, they normally act like big shots, but it's hard to imagine anyone relying on their leadership, knowledge, and character. On the flip side, I experience the same thing you describe. Two of my most successful friends are the two I can count on for a "thank you" text the day after a dinner at my place. They are true gentleman and it shows in all aspects of their life.

I got a new supervisor at my job who didn't know much about me or my work ethic. I guess people came to him and told him negative things about me that wasn't true so from what he heard he already prejudged me before he even met me. I work hard at my job so I always spoke nice to him coming and going. I made sure I did everything right that he expected me to do wrong. One day he approached me with a bad attitude, said I was being insubordinate and that he told me to do something and that I wasn't doing what he said. He also threatened to send me home. I had NO IDEA what this guy was talking about and I ended up raising my voice to him in anger because he completely was wrong didn't know what he was talking about, and I had never been insubordinate after a whole entire year of being at this job. Long story short I got sent home and placed on suspension from my job. My attitude in response to my supervisor if I know I did NOTHING WRONG should have been a better more professional answer. I learned that you can still be right but with a person who has more AUTHORITY and POWER than you, you still have to conduct yourself respectfully & with respect for others. ~DIVERSE soundcloud.com/drew-aka-diverse

You aren't formal and I loveeee it. You curse! You aren't snobby. Your rich and you still act like your talking to an equal.
