The problem with golden eggs isn’t that they aren’t profitable but you can only get them after you’ve 100 percented a farm. By that point your money making strategy’s well established and theres no point to over committing to them. They are truly a trophy item.

I use fish ponds for a different purpose: If you put midnight carp/flounder into a fish pond, they’ll only give you roe, But they will increase in number until they reach maximum capacity. So, you can just fish half of them out every once in a while, and the population of each pond will slowly grow back to 10. So, in all seasons, you can have a steady supply for your sea foam pudding.

@@Cat15210 Seafoam Pudding increases your fishing level by 4 points. Each point increases the bobber size (green bar), and decreases the max amount of time before fish bite. Thank you for mentioning the coffee! It's honestly the single most lucrative crop you can grow. If you fish enough, you can upgrade your fishing pole, then your backpack, then afford a coffee bean by the first Sunday or possibly the second Friday of Spring 1, assuming it's available at the traveling merchant's cart. So, let's be generous and say that you purchase a coffee bean on that Friday, which is 12 Spring, year 1. Plant it that day, with NO fertilizer or speed-gro. You can harvest four coffee beans on the 22nd of Spring. Now, that FIRST coffee plant will produce four beans every 2 days till the end of Summer. That's 14 harvests in summer (28 days), plus the 22nd, 24th, 26th, and 28th days of Spring, for a total of 18 harvests of 4 beans each. 18 x 4 = 72. However. Each time you harvest beans, you don't sell them. You plant them. So on 22 Spring, you'll plant 4 coffee beans. These will be ready to harvest on 4 Summer. Those four plants will produce 4 beans each, every other day, which means that there will be 12 harvests of 16 beans each. 12 x 16 = 192. Now, from the 4 plants you harvested on 4 Summer, you got 16 beans. Plant those, and they'll be ready to harvest on 14 Summer (thus allowing you to create 56 more coffee plants) followed by another 7 harvests. 16 plants x 4 beans per plant x 7 harvests = 448. Plant the 56 coffee beans you harvest on 14 Summer, and you'll harvest them on 24 Summer. That only gives you 2 more harvests from those particular plants. However, 56 plants x 4 beans per plant x 2 harvests = 448. Adding up ALL the beans from ALL of the plants: 72 + 192 + 448 + 448 = 1160 beans, which are worth 17400 if they are all at the lowest quality. But DO NOT SELL THEM. If you've managed to repair your greenhouse, you can plant 120 coffee plants on the main floor and harvest them every other day till you die, and get stinking rich. If you don't, however, you now restart on 1 Spring, year 2. There are over 3,000 farmable spots on a standard farm, but let's take up some of those spaces with Junimo huts, sprinklers, lightning rods, torches, and so on. So, say about 2,000 spots. Now you're cooking with gas! Place your sprinklers and Junimo huts et cetera on 28 Winter (or if you've saved up enough, plant a BUNCH of winter seeds) so that as much ground as possible will stay plantable. If you can manage to get 2,000 coffee beans planted, that's 8,000 beans on 11 Spring, and another 8,000 every two days after that. That's 120,000 just from beans, if you wanted to sell them, but you don't. You really, really don't. Even assuming ALL your beans were iridium quality, which they won't be, that would only net you 240,000 per 8,000 bean crop because an iridium quality coffee bean sells for 30 gold. If you get any iridium beans, sell those because turning them into coffees won't make you any profit. All other beans will give you profit. LOADS of profit. 8,000 ÷ 5 (beans per coffee = 1,600 coffees = 240,000 gold every 2 days. But you can't really get that... Until you've got sufficient kegs, of course. One keg can turn 5 beans into a coffee in 2 in-game hours, so each keg can create an absolute maximum of 10 cups of coffee each day. But really it'll be less than that, because you'll have to be running back and forth between kegs, plus the time you spend getting to the keg site, plus petting your animals and stuff... Whatever. Assume about 5 coffees per day from each keg, and if you get more, just take the W. Five coffees per keg per day. Based on the number of beans you'll get, you'll need 320 kegs, which means about 2 Big Sheds filled with kegs, or a bunch of kegs kept somewhere off your property. If you do nothing all day but swap out finished coffees for fresh beans, it will be a very boring grind -- but if you focus on doing that just one or two days each week, including the fall and winter when no coffee is growing, you can keep ahead of it and get it all done before the next spring. Still boring, but you'll be so rich you won't mind. One year, just one year, of doing this, and you'll get your Golden Clock and all your obelisks at the end of that year.
@DisasterAuntie
@DisasterAuntie 2 жыл бұрын
I MESSED UP THE MATH. You can only plant 2K coffee beans on the 1st day of Spring 2 if you've had the greenhouse. Still, the growth-and-replant thing makes the numbers of beans and therefore coffee grow logarithmically, so it really snowballs in a beautiful way. If you're on a PC and can use mods (I'm not), it could even be automated so that you didn't have to actually do anything! Plant the beans, let the sprinklers water them and the Junimos harvest them, then stick them all in a chest at the entrance to an incredibly full shed so that you can just collect the coffees when they're done. Free money.

When you start playing, make sure you have at least 2000 gold every week and every Friday and Sunday go to the merchant in Cindersap and buy the rare seed if she has one. Do this for the first year and get your greenhouse up and running asap. If not, in the fall, plant all the rare seeds. At the end of the season (takes all season to grow without fertilizer), but turn all of the fruit into seeds. In the greenhouse, I grew rare seeds in one half and ancient seeds in the other and in the second year, I started making a lot of money to start getting other things established and it helps while working for the island/endgame.

golden chickens are definitely an end game item but they're a quick and easy way to make a lot of money in the late game! i'm working on a casual billionaire run myself and the small section of my farm that isn't being used by wine-making sheds, ancient fruit, or pig barns is covered with a dozen deluxe coops filled with golden chickens. daily egg drops, extremely low maintenance (when using autopetters and autograbbers from skull cavern runs), and only requiring a 3x6 area, means they're actually more profitable than pigs! the only downside is that relying on the incubater instead of purchasing directly from marnie takes a while to fill a deluxe coop.

So if profit is desired yes pigs is the way to go. If looking for useful items. I'd argue at least a dozen cows is best. They generate large milk if a silver to iridium star your cheese maker produces gold cheese. Now two things occur do to the quality and quantity of the cheese. It takes 7 days to make iridium cheese. If basement is full of caskets you'll generate over 100k weekly. Not to mention the health and energy you get from consumption. It does not strip buffs either. Rabbits are hit or miss as they do not produce daily but every few days. Pigs are good but require dirt to find truffle. So your losing out buying hay. Again same with chickens they will produce gold mayonnaise once you process the large egg silver to iridium. Sheep is good for Abigail she likes the cloth. It's every other day tho. But at over $500 gold a unit it's decent. My personal favorite is the lizard. It's not very good but I like them lol. Ducks again are ok but they're every other day or 3 days I don't remember. They give eggs and feathers. Goats are ok again and much like cows they can produce gold cheese but it's every other day. Which makes less then the cows. It does have better stats but produces half of what a cow does. So I actually run; 1 barn cows 1 barn pig 1 coop chicken 1 coop lizards I do it just cause I like the animals. I strongly recommend cows. Pigs if your wanting coin. Truffle oil is worth $1k+ however they only produce 3 of 4 seasons.

The stardew valley predictor said i need to crack about 418 million omni geodes to get my first prismatic shard from geodes...

Nah. If you crack them in batches of at least 15 there's a decent chance. I've gotten plenty from omni geodes, worth a try!

hi, mushroom forager here. i can tell you why truffles count as a forageable. mushrooms are all foraged, even if its with a trained truffle pig or dog, it still counts as foraging.

I’m assuming that videos like this will be useful to me one day. But I’m in year 2 and trying to hold down a basic farm and make ends meet. I’m assuming you eventually hit an end game state where there’s nothing left to do but make lots of money by covering your farm with as many pigs or coffee beans as possible

as far as I know, it's simply pronounced "bisk", rhymes with frisk. I very rarely hear the dish actually talked about so I may be wrong. I don't live in the east coast usa where bisques would be more popular, but this advice should be sufficient.

@@ezlilyy Not everyone feels the same way about ads! I watched it all in the middle and had no problems, and other YTers like Beryl Shereshewsky place them generally at the beginning or in the middle and most folks are fine with it. Place them wherever feels comfortable, and maybe experiment a bit!

I'm just gonna say that chicken are better purely on the basis that I like chicken, they're adorable and I have plans for making a coop in our back yard so I could actually have chicken... Pigs IRL are extremely cute too but the in-game ones are... *shivers* abominations to say the least.
