you missed the entire point of shadcn-- they are starter components that are meant* to be edited to whatever you want. you can create everything in originUI with shadcn

Did you miss the entire point of Tailwind and Radix by using shadcn?
@tmerb10 сағат бұрын
@@baruchrevivo2966 is tailwind and radix mentioned directly in the video i.e title by saying `Dont use tailwind and radix use OriginUI instead`?
@baruchrevivo29669 сағат бұрын
@@tmerb I think you got lost in the analogies. A proper analogy would have been a video saying 'Don't use tailwind and radix use shadcn instead' But 34 likes is a good indicator that my analogies are just a play on words. And that people are pretty happy with the level of abstraction provided by shadcn..
@tmerb9 сағат бұрын
@@baruchrevivo2966 bro i'm talking specifically about shadcn vs originui as it is mentioned in the video-- youre trying to create an analogy from my main point which has nothing to do with my main point... ?

@tobitacklestech2 күн бұрын
Oh ok what do you don’t like the size?
@SebastianLNКүн бұрын
@ Mostly the smooth animations. It feels so unnatural and gets confusing when the actual cursor is hovering over something that then gets highlighted while the animated cursor isn’t even close to it yet. I like the natural, standard cursor way better

@tobitacklestech building your own helps you be more fluid and without much complexity for some VERY simple uses. But then, I like this, and I'll give it a try.

‘basically garbage’ is a crazy take lol haters b everywhere nowadays @punsmith im curious, what framework do you use?
@punsmith2 күн бұрын
@@blankcheckguy69 I'm hating on UI systems that are framework specific. It's horrible and they shouldn't exist to begin with, as we keep locking ourselves to a specific ecosystem. And frameworks? Depends. For static content I go with Astro, for simple Websites I just go with HTML with little JS. Sometimes I use Angular/Svelte
@punsmith2 күн бұрын
@@tobitacklestechYou didn't understand my point. UI systems should be framework agnostic. The moment they aren't, you're locked into a ecosystem. Which I consider absolutely horrid. Not everyone exists to d***ride react. Personally, I have been using less frameworks over the years. Luckily tailwind works everywhere. So I guess not everything is lost.
