Hi, it was my website that fucked up. YES the site fucked up on the screen due to my negligence. Yes it was my mistake for forgetting to add more breakpoints. You will see, the site looks the way it was meant to be on the normal laptop screens when the width of the browser reduced. I only made the site to work good for laptop screens and mobile screens and I was too excited to get reviews on it only to get it trashed on livestream. Still, I learnt from this. I am working on my mistakes and learning from it. I am still learning. Thanks.

The key takeaway for me is how poorly hiring is often handled. The amount of work expected from applicants compared to the effort hiring managers put in is truly unbalanced. Job seekers are forced to focus on superficial tweaks just so hiring managers can skim their profiles instead of investing time to truly assess fit and expertise.
@chill898922 ай бұрын
I mean... Hiring managers have maybe hundreds of applications to go through. "experimental" websites are cool but if you can't get all the info you need quickly then it's a waste of time

i think it would be the best to score UI, UX & Code (raw dogging code) separately because maybe some of these portfolios are for a backend developer so its not gonna have a great UI probably but there is gonna be some cool shit there where you would hire them so i feel like not having these categories separated makes ranking Hireability a bit difficult, i feel like the final score of all the other categories combined should be the Hireability score

Harshit's site looked like any other shadcn/ui acernity v0 orgy template. Modern bootstrap. For sure I appreciate the aesthetic qualities and am guilty of using all of those but if you think about it the reason it works so good is why so many "modern hipster" cafes look identical no matter where you go in the world. I just wouldn't have the reaction BEAUUUTIFFUUULLL like we devs see that cookie cutter many times per day at least.
