Don't Visit Santorini Until You Watch This

Santorini is the most famous island in Greece and with that title comes a lot of negatives. Higher prices, mass tourism, and a lot of high expectations from travelers dreaming of visiting. We are going to be honest, after visiting other greek islands, Santorini is at the bottom of the list. That doesn't mean you shouldn't travel to this romantic island. We had an unforgettable time on Santorini especially in places like Oia and Perissa. To save money we took busses for $3, ate the cheapest food we could find like $5 gyros and tried to do free activities like cliff jumping. If you don't like spending money, don't head here in the middle of July during high season! Visit during the months of April-May and September-October.

Visited Greece in 2019 and hired a driver out of Athens to take us to the Temple of Poseidon and eat local spots and the next day to the Loutraki Coast to see the Corinth Canal and ruins, visited lovely small towns and ate a wonderful meal at Ouzeri Giannis. Beautiful drive and 2 of our favorite days there. The food is SO AMAZING!! Those who are fortunate enough to have visited Greece are living vicariously through your vidoes! Enjoy!

We were in Santorini 3 weeks ago. Loved it! Stayed in Pyrgos in a beautiful Airbnb with a pool and a spectacular view. No cruises either, it was heaven. Definitely going back and taking it slower. After went to Paros 💕 what a beautiful island that is!

Best time to go is September ! Thera is by far way better than Oia from experience but the sunset and sunrise on Oia are unbeatable! Definitely going back!

It is definitely not easy. Bring extra sunscreen. Wear hiking or trail shoes. A hat will help. And have extra water. There is a place along the way where you can buy extra. It's going to take at least 3 hours, but give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the view. Take rest breaks. It's the journey, not arriving at the destination. And lastly, have fun. Tzatziki is made of Greekyoghurt . Or yoghurt naturally thik one.You need a cucumber and garlic 🧄 maybe 2 garlic.and salt and a grater and a dish towel. Cut the cucumber 🥒 on along. Take the seeds out, use a spoon, take your your dish towel put it on the table on top of that you have your grater, take the cucumber and make it on the grater. Then you twist very hard your cucumber inside the dish towel so there’s no more cucumber juice left. Take your Greek yoghurt an put cucumber, mast garlic and some salt in it Stir around, then you have it. 😊good luck 👍🏻be careful with the cucumber juice on the table 😊
