Ah. So in the end it was wendigo's out there. I like how there was the build up and the focus wasnt on them until the VERY end, and even then it was just little snipits. A very good story

I listened to this when it came out 6 months ago, because I couldn’t really believe someone would write about “my” neck of the woods!! I can’t remember why I didn’t comment! I didn’t even hit, “like”, so my apologies to both OI and the Author! In my youth, I lived >30 miles or so from Odanah/Bad River. I spent my 25th Birthday at the Casino whilst on leave from the Military! Prior to that, My dad was a smoker, so we always stopped once a week on our way to Ashland or Duluth to get him cigarettes at, “The Smoke Shop”. Of course, other great people of Bad River also sell the best wild rice one could have. Anyway, time has passed (too much) and I had the ability to move back up north a few months ago on tons of acreage, incredible wildlife, and a hop, skip, & a jump away from Bad River. It’s great to be back in my adopted home! ...And, yes, there is nothing better than wild rice & a Cornish game hen/grouse/duck. Trust me!

I've heard of it being done. Headshots, through the eyes. Though, if we're splitting hairs, it wasn't made clear what kind of 22 he's talking about. .223 is still a 22 and that's a cartridge known for taking varmints and small game.
@wanderingcalamity3605 жыл бұрын
@Hannibal Hyde I'm very familiar with its use for taking out two legged predators and varmints... But it's somewhat better known as a hunting round. And yes, I'm aware that it's considerably more powerful than other .22 caliber projectiles. I was merely saying that it's not beyond the realm of plausibility.
