The fact the devs implemented the whole, "plant an acorn at the start of the game and watch the tree grow as you play" thing that Peter Molyneux touted but failed to bring to the Fable games makes me even more interested in this game than I already was. I actually purchased it shortly after it hit early access and tried it out for a bit, and holy cow.... it's certainly come a long way since then! I'm still going to wait until the full release to play it some more, however, because I don't want to constantly worry about losing all of my progress with each major update, lol.

This games is so full of puns that I'm sure the strawberry reference that says "Forever in fields full of beetles" refers to to song "Strawberry Fields Forever" by the Beatles! Strawberry Fields is in Central Park in NYC, a memorial to John Lennon. Obviously it came after the song. I'm really enjoying the humor in the game!

This game absolutely needs character portraits!! It's very hard for me to get immersed in a pixel art farm/life sim without portraits 😔. Other than that this looks and sounds absolutely incredible.

We have added them to cutscenes in this update, and are looking at a system to generate them (as it is too much work to hand crop them). The system will scale them and put on a watercolour type filter.

I absolutely adore this game!! I had been following it for a year or two before the release and was not disappointed even with the limited content. They continue to improve what is already such a quaint and lovely game. I cant wait to see what else they have in store for us! This game deserves so much more hype! It is sooo beautiful and witty and I just love it. Do a full let's play!!! 🤩

They’re so active it’s insane I’m so glad I bought it the second it became available to support it. Too bad another game I backed turned out to have a joke for developers so my trust in indies went down the drain…

I been playing off and on since launch. It still has some fleshing out to do, the world maps are still kinda bare. HOWEVER, the game has great bones and is heading in all the right directions. I took a break from streaming it, I may have to get back into with all the new updates ^_^. Keep up the good work

There is a little table inside the store (in the bottom corner of the store) you bought the tin bucket in and if someone is standing behind it you can sell stuff to them

My only constant gripe about this game is the controller support. It only allows for the XBOX type of order, so with me B is A, and Y is X; bit of a mind screw as I've always had Nintendo style controllers, but recently jumped back into the game with the UI being so clean and readable nowadays.

Yes I think it can definitely be a bit overwhelming at first! I think maybe the most recent updates and the UI overhaul might make things a bit easier? Hopefully you're able to get into it, it's worth it! :D

It's okay. I found Orange Season more interesting. Now ACNH had a great update. Playing Cozy Grove that gets updated constantly and finally Little Dragon Cafe. I just had a tough time getting into this game.

It is still in early access but they have been releasing updates pretty regularly and I think it's probably a lot better than what it was at the beginning! I didn't encounter any bug so far.

I agree! Although it's beautiful, I often get lost or have trouble finding something because there's just so much going on on the screen.

It's a huge time limit really, and even then you can continue as your kids. There is absolutely no rush or time pressure.

yes it is very sad at first but u get used to it and it is so much better compared to something like stardew valley where ur kid jus remains a kid forever no matter how much time passes, kinda a bummer.
