Great advice! Reminds me of that quote.."hard work beats talent when talent doesnt work hard.' This advice is also so easily applied to everyday life. So many people have the idea that they cant do things because they havent ever done it before. You can learn to do anything..it just takes you showing up and putting in the time, as you say. Your videos are inspiring, as usual, David. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! A very encouraging piece of advice. If I am ever inspired it is when I work...it is when I learn, take unexpected risks and sometimes ta dah! A little flash of something happens. Wish it happened more often, but hey, that it happens ever is enough to keep me going.

Thanks David. Sometimes I just stare at the blank canvas and it frightens the heck out of me. I keep telling myself it's just a piece of canvas, paper, whatever. You can always paint over it and I have from time to time.

dorothysfriend there is no reason to be afraid, just start painting. Do lots of pre-planning if that helps, so that you'll know exactly what to do when you get to the canvas. Just start!
