You can't go wrong with Castlevania in October! This was the most requested Castlevania song from the 2021 GaMetal Song Ballot. It's also the winner of our most recent GaMetal Discord Request Battle, beating out all other Castlevania songs.
Some info on this song's title: the official Aria of Sorrow soundtrack goes only with the name of the first song that is represented in this arrangement, Don't Wait Until Night, which is originally from Haunted Castle, but most people know this song by the name of the second song from the arrangement, Heart of Fire from the first Castlevania.

Well, it is canon that each generation of the Belmonts is stronger than the previous ones, they get stronger each time. Julius is the last Belmont and the family had been kicking Dracula's arse for centuries. Of course he is a monster among monsters. The only characters in Castlevania lore that can even compare to him are Dracula himself, Soma and maybe Alucard. The game that truly shows just how powerful the Belmonts (and the Vampire Killer) really are, though, is Order of Ecclesia. Even with all the power than Shanoa has, Dracula treats her like a joke, a mid time amusement until someone with the Vampire Killer arrives, and once she makes him go even a bit serious, the only way for her to do anything at all to him is to use his own power against him, at the cost of her own life.

This man is canonically the strongest Belmont. As far as we know, he single-handedly eliminated Dracula for the last time. This 50-something year old dude looked at the man who inherited Dracula's powers, and not only did he challenge him to a one-on-one, but he decided "yeah might have to hold back for this one", and straight up killed him in the sequel (granted, he has 2 people helping him at that point, but still).

Julius was not even fighting seriously in this duel because he had doubts about Soma being evil despite being Lord Dracula's Reincarnation. With a mere fraction of his power at 55 years old, he was capable of putting Soma and various players between the "sword and the wall" AND DESTROYING A PART OF THE CASTLE WITH HIS GRAND CROSS. *Imagine what he could do if he was fighting to the bitter end or at his prime*

I dont get it, this theme is from Aria of Sorrow, not from HoD. HoD had to sacrifice the sound card for graphics, having to use a GB card for it, that being the reason the game's soundtrack is so bad. However we are talking about Aria of Sorrow, where this theme is from, where they managed to fit in both soundtrack and graphics without having to sacrifice either, Aria's soundtrack is a fine piece of work.

(Which is canon, just like the SOTN radiodrama) And yes, this hunter inherited the vampire killer too.

@@xBlaster That actually sounds interesting... Although, The Morris Clan had problems using the whip due to not being of Belmont Blood, or having anyone related to the Belmonts in any way. Perhaps in the novel, Curtis Lang may have some Belmont Blood in his veins if he can fully use the whip. That would be interesting to see in a future game, provided Konami doesn't decide to stick with their Rebooted / Lords Of Shadow Timeline they made.

@@johnnycenate91 that's the issue. Since the whip was used to seal Dracula's Castle in 1999, the desintegration of the later weakened it's power, and maybe because of this is that Curtis didn't use it's full power (which would consume his life energy for not being a direct Belmont descendant).
