The objective truth is that Prophecy is a good item that's very powerful on certain characters. Mainly Sevarog and especially Grim.exe. Prophecy seems to be in the game for Sev, the same way Sephirs Mantle is for Rampage. Magnify is for Aurora even though it's even better for Kwang.

Honestly I build a very similar build as zinx and have decent success with it. My third item varies on who we have in our line and as jungle, but sky splitter is 3rd or 4th item for me after marshal and prophecy. From there I base it off of how team fights are starting to go and what we need more of (if I need to be more of a support or more damage if my team is doing well holding their own/enemies getting away with just a hair damage left to their life)

tbh this is my zinx build every game unless me/the team is behind at all. you got so much value just frontlining, doing as much damage, ulting yourself, then spamming abilities again. consistently do top2/top3 lobby damage and win high elo with marsh, proph, kingsbane, lightning hawk, sky, oblivion crown

Stacking DOT and movement speed on basic, plus a stun and revive makes her a nightmare to duel with. If they wanted her to be a carry, they should have just made her a carry.

The only character who gives me a hard time versus Zinx in midlane is Morigesh. Her wave clear is actually good.

Imagine the new hero was carry, and she used magical power (even basic attacks) as magical damage? That would be interesting and would make sense to add even a little more attack speed and anti tank stuff to magic items

@AdrianDWolfe yeah but grim doesn't really benefit from magical damage, I'm talking about a full on magical damage hero that's a carry. Grim is more of a mix (like revenant) but building mixed damage on either one of them doesn't really work, so I'm talking about full on magical scaling and everything.

Grim's passive converts the power of the item he's building, letting you use basically all damage items on him iirc.

I almost always go Marshall into prophecy for Zinx and then go back to other support items or damage items depending on how the game is going
