Ppl are gonna disagree with me, but I really wish there was a slider to allow your coach lvl to go higher than 50 so you can get more points. There are tons of cool and impactful abilities in the game, without the ability to respec your skill tree majority of them you will never use. By the time you unlock them majority of your points r gone and it sucks.

It’s obvious recruiter is going to be the initial meta but if you are playing on Heisman or even AA, I would strongly suggest getting something fairly quickly to mitigate the effects of HFA, you absolutely need to be able to audible and see your icons on the road in the SEC, Big 10 etc.

So, for me: i think the sevret sauce is only level 2 recruiting across all but kickers. Do this as a coordinator at a big school and win 2 championships with 2 top classes and 4 rivalry wins. Take your job with an elite motivator coordinator. Get discount on abilities from ceo. Take all but kickers to level 3 on motivator for the yearly xp jump, but key here: at a discount. Then put points in strategist at discount (cross training for extra cheese). Finally fill all but kickers on the bonus xp/remove skill cap tree. The last part im workshopping, is finding out if I still have enough for senior rise up, and then the player retention perks. This coach can: recruit, but then get the mlst out of even elite players. With a dominant program elite dev 4* gems players would leave the with no skill caps. First round talent would be easier to.persuade to stay, with refunded persuade chances. 2nd round too if theres enough points. Whatever coach points are left over, if any, can go to thay ground and pound stuff.

The discount is only 1 per upgrade. It cost 18. Plus ceo cost 30. So you don't have enough points to unlock 18 other upgrades to justify the cheaper upgrades. Also there isn't anything in ceo that's worth any points at all. I test all abilities and they are useless.

I find talent developer way more useful than motivator , you have to wait for the end of the year To even use the actions of tier 3 motivator for offseason training but talent developer all around can boost xp during and off the season I’ve seen my guys go up FIVE whole overalls in one year becuz of the talent developer traits and if you can manage to get program builder only get both the pipeline upgrades that is gonna help you compete with top schools at recruiting five and four stars as a one star , I still go motivator and tactician it for specific positions your choice but if you can FIND HEAD COACHES as your offense and defense coordinators they are ALL ROUND leveled so pay attention to what type if coordinator or coach you are grabbing

I spent the 100 points in recruiting and then unlocked CEO and went with the bundle discount and then hired coordinators that had the same skills so each tier one skill cost 3 tokens instead of 5 and each advanced tier cost 6 instead of 10. Seemed to allow me to have more abilities.

I think the advanced tier is 8 which would mean it saves you 2 pts. If that’s true, that means you’d break even after 9 upgrades and be ahead after that (assuming you would have unlocked CEO anyway). If you wouldn’t have unlocked CEO, you’d need to make 24 upgrades to break even. You could still come out ahead if you bought the upgrade early enough. Thanks for the info! I've already maxed my couch out, but I'm really curious about how the CEO skill that makes coach skills cheaper actually helps. I did win the natty my first two years and most of my points went into recruiter or negotiator. I CANNOT stress enough how much improved visits helps. O-line, D-line, WR, DB... those are probably the only positions that need it. Position changes are important to consider. WR's can make amazing RB's. Safeties can also be very good LB's or a good DE can be a great LB as well. I've had a top 5 class 4 years in a row now and last 2 years I had number 1 class. recruiting isn't that hard once you figure it out, but the bonuses help. Also PAY attention to player development and always start STAR development players over normal or impact.

I started as an OC at Georgia to win 2 national titles, get 2 top 5 draft classes, and use the head coach’s CEO ability for discounts and I will use the CEO all the way to level 50 then take a HC job. I don’t plan on buying CEO myself unless someone can confirm that dream school instant commit is worth it.

Well if someone's got u as #1 they have a chance to insta commit alr. I assume the perk boosts the chance and I've noticed if you take off a player from your board it removes the scholarship, then u can offer it again. Not sure if it's intended or if that rerolls the chances again but you could potentially abuse those perks and get any recruit u want by spamming scholarships until they commit. At only 5 hours and a normal commit taking up to 250-500 hrs you could do it over 50 times and still be worth. Anything over a 2% chance to insta commit is mathematically worth it. Unless of course offering the scholarship again doesn't actually reroll the odds and it's predetermined or locked in the first time u offer it

If that’s confirmed then I think the meta would be to go to a top tier school like Georgia as HC, double up on coordinators with the skills you want to purchase, win the 2 national titles, don’t spend any points until you unlock CEO discount. Then buy all the skills on discount. Fire the coordinators and hire ones with the next set of skills you want at a discount.

Disagree on the discount ability!! Here’s why: ceo costs 30, bundle discount cost 18.. 48 points - the discount is only one coin for things that cost 5. You get those abilities for 4. So you’re saving 1 at the cost of 48. Not the discount I thought. The other abilities might save you two, but its also hard to find an assistant that actually upgrades themselves into that second tier. In theory - couldnt agree more, bundle discount should be awesome. - just not in practicality

Ceo also allows the instant commit for 18, so I wouldn't say it's fair to compare the 48 against the discount. But yes, you would need 25 discount skills to get a leg up on the 48, but you can also save 4 points on tier 2 skills so it's less.

And to correct your math, if both of your coordinators have the same skill you are looking to purchase, it will only cost you 3 instead of 5. Its well worth it, if done right. Start as a coordinator at Georgia, North Carolina, or Clemson (those coaches have CEO), get two top 5 recruiting classes and win 2 NT's while you are there. Only spend your points on upgrades that cost you 3 each. After that, take your remaining points and move on to a new HC job at a school of your choice. Unlock CEO, hire coordinators with the abilities you want to upgrade, only upgrade when the cost is 3 vs 5. If you spent all of your points this way, you'd effectively have somewhere between 25-40% more points to use (123 to 198 upgrade points), depending on what other architypes you unlocked in the process.

Tier one of talent developer says the position group you pick gains increased interest from your school. I’m curious if that applies to players that are already interested in your school or it increases the chance more players would be interested in transferring to your school who wouldn’t normally be interested without the upgrade

I think I did the perfect meta on my first try. Maxed all 4/4 in first stage of recruiter except kicker 0/4. Minimum motivator to unlock talent developer. Maxed it 4/4 except 0/4 for kickers. Spent rest in tactician with lowering crowd noise significantly on road.

I get 14-16 5⭐️ players each draft. Would be more if I had more points each week. This is given that my coordinators have a bit in recruiting, too. Hope this helps.

I did a franchise test just to see what a maxed out coach would give u. At level 50 you would have 495 coach points. Hope that helps

Didn’t see if you mentioned this but there are “buy-in” costs for all the archetypes after the initial free normal one. I ran into this problem with my builds because of the uneven ness of the 15 point Guru buy-int that didn’t leave the 8 point guru trees without a remainder. It also works when you are Coordinator and the Head Coach has the discount ability. I found that when I was a coordinator and the HC had the archetype discount from Program Builder, if both the HC and other Coordinator had the archetype unlocked, it was free for me to unlock.

I was thinking 505, but you're right we start at level 1. I don't think most people like how restrictive this is. I'm really hoping they either increase the level cap or I suppose the other option is they could do is provide more points per level upgrade. I know I can't become the perfect coach, but I expect I will have capped progression by my 3rd-5th season, and if I progress as I go which is appeared intention then by the time I can unlock the top level I'll already be out of points.

IMO at the minimum it’s level 3 perks in the base (non elite) parts of the recruiter tree (so you can get the increased recruiting hours for each position) and the level 3 perks in motivator so you can get off season training boosts to all positions. And if I did the math right it’s around half your points (around 240 depending on if you have the ceo upgrade)

IMO there isn’t an “optimal”. There are just many different flavors of coaches and programs you could build. There might be an optimal “hurry up offense” path or an optimal “running offense path”, but an overall optimal, I’m not sure it exists or if it does, is context dependent.

Id argue it's maxing all 7 positions (not specifical teams) in base recruiter and talent developer. Grab 3 boosts to ur pipelines in program developer and it leaves you enough to cap 1 position for base motivator and base tactician. An argument could be made for architect over talent developer since increasing skill caps could be more useful with how broken progression is right now. I'm sure this isn't perfectly optimal since you're not using the CEO perk he talked about but it's at minimum a good place to start and not waste any points

Max stage one recruiter except zero for kickers. Minimum in motivator to unlock talent developer. Max talent developer except zero for kickers. Put remaining points in tactician. I prefer to lower crowd noise significantly on road games and do a few upgrades for DL, LBs, etc. You do not need stage 2 in recruiter. I land 16 or so 5⭐️s every year and pick and choose the ones I want. Pipelines aren’t important either. Playing Mizzou, current team is 97 offense and 99 defense. Multiple 99 overall players. Cheers.

Lots of bugs in the game so far still. Year one of my dynasty, the number 1 ranked recruit in the country went completely unseen by anyone because he was from Wyoming. I was scrolling through the uncommitted recruits with about three weeks to go in the season, saw he somehow had no offers, and got him with Tulane. He was “only” an 80 overall middle linebacker but dude is going to dominate later on
