I love this. You make things the same way I do, that factory look containing tech you wouldn't expect. You are so right when it comes to the little details, that is what can really sell the "Is that factory?" thought that would pop into someone's head. I'd say my inspiration was KITT from Knight Rider. Def not factory, when I was younger I didn't care about that. The more screens and controls on the dash the better back then. Every vehicle I had was a step up in what I had done before. I had built so many switch pods. So many things I had led lighting in (my rule was you can only see the illumination but not the LEDs). I had external amplified speakers connected to a CB microphone (worked great for people cutting you off). Audio systems, speakers, video screens. Now I'm at a point where I still want the tech but its gotta have that pristine OEM look to whatever I do. Great work man, can't wait to see some more videos.

We put external amplified speakers on a Continental build we did a while back for a local radio personality. Safe to say he had a blast with that part of his car. If ya look deep into our history there should be some videos of it. Really slick ride.

I have a 1970 El Camino that is getting frame off restored after owning it for 47 years! and I'm looking for all this kind of stuff. I love all orig. features of the car (It was waay ahead of it's time) but some things just need to come up to the 21st century. Love the creativity and your spirit. Any plans to sell the screen mount separately? One thing I’ve been looking for someone to make is a molded carpet trunk kit. Similar to what you would find in a newer car that cleans up the look in the trunk. The DIY trunk kits are heavy with wood panels and you lose a lot of trunk space. Custom seems to run thousands of $$$.

The retailer can also see what draws folks' attention, and what doesn't. What happened with commercial LED fixtures is that they're essentially permanent - perhaps a hundred thousand hours until they even start to dim - and even then, a tiny amount. So - lighting companies had to reinvent themselves as information-selling companies; using the fixture as the method. You can't have a business that sells lights, and then sell that customer again in 25-30 years.
